Mike......get your coat! :D (yes it was 2 separate stories, but it was meant to read like one...i.e. with a headline and then the subheading as part of it....and I think you're the only person on the internet that hasn't got it..............lol!!)
Excellent numberplate by the way! Car looks nice too. And I see you've got the 'Old Volkswagens don't die, they just get faster' plate surround...was going to get that one So..how have you got YOUR plate surrounds to stick without falling off? Sorry it's a bit of a running theme for me the past two days...lol
OH GOD I AM SO THICK!!!!!!!!!!! Have just realised. I threw away 4 bits of plastic that popped out of the middle of the plate surround on the front one...and they are the bits you put back in underneath to hold the god damn thing on....... Found 3 from the back one slung in the boot but sadly I think the rest went in the bin.. DOH DOH DOH DOH DOH Still, need to find a solution to stop my front plate falling off anyhow and barring drilling two holes which are precariously near to my radiator (and don't have a drill) I hope B&Q have some EXTREMELY heavy duty double sided foamy sticky things
Well I'm ready to go to the Ring! I have my Nurburgring number plate surrounds direct from the nice peeps at Volkswizard! Now all I need do is make sure my plates stick to my car properly as I lost one already last night...errr....and had to run quickly to Halfrauds to get a new one made! These damn cars...have screw holes in the back of the car but NOT the front so I can screw the plate holder to it...and some extremely heavy duty sticky fixers are in order I reckon...the ones they gave me in the store just ain't gonna do the trick!! Or I need to do a bit of bending and stuff to get the p
Where does that car live now? Blackburn? Hmmm....*packs balaclava, donkey jacket and large tin of petrol...oh and some matches...* I can be up there in 20 minutes...and I bet it's on the Shadsworth Estate which is dog rough!! LOL
£280 for a service? Don't do it! Mine is going to Awesome GTI (I know no good for you obv...lol) but they charge £120 for a full service. So if the serpentine belt costs £24 from VW (maybe cheaper elsewhere) they are charging you £30 to fit it, it's only half an hour of a job. To change the belt AND tensioner was only 1hrs labour when I had it done (was robbed £62 labour for that)..so their labour is expensive...main stealer prices that mate!
Um...? how do u know that m8 is there sumfin ur not letting onto? Pimpcat...I've been in the Funny Farm for years!!! (www.davespikey.net/boards...the real Funny Farm....lol!!!!)
well when you're passing do us a favour and tell them I don't think much of their so-called electronic wheel alignment doodah....LOL!! Obviously just can't pop down cos they have no flamin branches any further north than that one and I'm like 40 odd miles more northerly than that!
Cheers Mark. Bit the bullet while I was on the road in Stoke on Monday and called in to have it done. Was bouncing down the M6 at 80mph and had enough! Still doesn't feel right to me...grrr New tyre time next week anyway I hope, back 2 have got a bit of wear from prev owner over-inflating..and brake pads and ohh MORE MONEY again!!
So how does being a single female bank manager age 36 with 10yrs PNCB make mine £450? Grrrrrrrrr... Postcode lottery I'd wager!! You Southerners, you don't know you're born etc...lol!!!
Bump Sounds a top idea. Have done Three Sisters and it was truly one of the best days ever! In a Fezza 360/Lotus Elise/400bhp Porsche 911...and single seater Formula Ford. Brilliant, utterly brilliant, would do this for a living it was that good!
