Seconded, true enough indeed. Day 2 for me and I've been made to feel very welcome, which is great! By the end of the week I will have probably driven you all bonkers asking numb questions about my car..hehe Feel the love in the room! :-d

The only thing that spoils it right now is the two big feck off holes some numpty cut in the parcel shelf so they could have their chavvy sound system in there. And conveniently they've left me the entire wiring kit underneath the back seat...ahem...so, er if anyone wants all these crazy speaker wires (dozens of the damn things) I'll gladly swap for a new parcel shelf..lol Must get trawling round the scrapyards for one, can't be difficult!

Well, I think I was born in a VW...lol My dad used to be a mad V-Dubber. His first was in the early 60's, a white Bug, then he had a red bug, a Variant, another bug in red (which is my earliest car memory I think). Then we moved onto pop-top campers! Had three of those and they were just fantastic! Had soooo many adventures in them, every weekend or school hols it was "right kids, get packed up we're off to France" or somewhere equally daft. Hmmm...mine was £458 or thereabouts with the AA. I'm 36, 10 yrs NCB (and protected)...It's a postcode lottery!! And also the fact that my marital status is now 'divorced/single' that doesn't help. But I have a 'responsible' job (I'm a banker). I also have to have business mileage on my policy cos I do have to travel now and again an my company won't pay out unless I'm insured to drive whilst working bollix, so that adds about £30 p.a. onto the premium. Well firstly, glad you and your son are ok! Gutted for you about your car as you've only had it a short while. Thing is, if you told the 100% truth to the insurance co when you insured it, i.e. that you really don't have any modifications and all that malarkey, then surely they should pay out alright? -

Well my previous insurers were too scared to take it on..lol so the nice man (a very nice man,,hehe) at the AA reckoned on it being a grp 17. In any case my insurance premium has gone UP, which I expected, but he kept my excess DOWN which is nice. Yes I think we should start a new 'Bog Standard Unmolested VR6 Owners Club'... lol

Ok, noob here but call me a thicko..lol I got my beastie (left) recently and although I've read your 'How to tell a real Highline' thread I'm well confused...so here's my "is it or isn't it" list and I'm hoping you can help. My log book doesn't say Highline. No Tick. Group 17 insurance. Tick. Boo! lol It's a 1995 Auto which is black. 1 tick off list as I know they only did the 2 colours It's fully kitted out internally with black heated leather. Tick.
