    Well I've spent what seems like about a day and a half cleaning up the beastie in readiness for tomorrow. Even the engine has had a bit of a clean...I was a bit scared of doing it though but some of the gunk has been removed, not that there was much in the first place. I know it's not show standard, but for my efforts, it's clean, its' been polished and now...bloody rain spots! arrgh! I will end up being out first thing in the morning again going over it all....and praying for dry weather! Now to make myself look clean and polished. Oh dear, I don't have two spare days to do that...lol..yo

    Not at all, light showers at lunchtime only but the rest of the day is looking as good as today. According to t'beeb weather website anyhoo! We can all sit in our cars if it rains anyway..hehe

    Hi Sal I reckon we should meet either at the BP Garage or Little Chef on the A556. BP Garage is next to the Swan pub and opposite a local Merc type garage (Bucklow Hill Garage) or the Little Chef is nearer the Jn19 M6 turn off as you come down the road in Mere. 8.30am for 9?

    I thought mine was like that till I (me being a messer..lol) took the whole thing off and worked out how to get it to fit nice and flush. Just take both parts off, put the left hand side on first and then attach the right hand side bit. Although it looks like it ain't gonna fit just persevere and try and fit all the teeth back in individually on the other bit, and I found that giving the last bit a bit of a whack, well it all fitted back nicely!

    Grrrr don't talk to me about routers! I had one that blew up in April, fair do's, it had been switched on for about 3 years..lol...then I bought a Belkin one with a wireless adaptor so I can use my laptop downstairs and just have the PC upstairs etc etc.. Goddam Talk Talk kept cutting me off a few weeks ago and it was NOT my fault (despite them saying so). *fonejacker call centre man mode on* "It's a problems with your Belkins madam, it is not Talk Talk broadbandings....please speak to Belkins, they are changing their settings for Talk Talk broadbandings (since when?!)"     £431?? *sniggers*..nah it's just that when I got my beastie the other week I noticed a crack in the windscreen and so as part of the deal I said I wouldn't shake hands until there was a new windscreen in, amongst a number of other things...lol!!! (Like 12mths tax, 12mths MOT, an Alpine stereo blah blah...) So I REALLY have cost the garage about £1000 whereas I handed over my old car + £350...I really have got myself a bargain tee hee! *dances round like a silly thing* :D

    awwww they're real purdee....woowwwee...what a bloody shame they're obsolete! Why on earth would they stop making such a lovely bit of kit? Even I would buy them!

    Hm this appears to be the screeechy noise I am getting from my VR...and although those diagrams look perfectly lovely...I'm buggered if I am brave enough to have a go...obviously need to get it done. Has anyone NOT done this themselves or with any help and if so did it cost a lot to sort out? My car often sounds like a plane taking off..lol...along with the lovely engine noise it also has a whirrrrrrrrrr that goes along with it... Ta!

    Wwe can either meet at: Knutsford services (Jn 19 so Northbound maybe and then back up the A556 to Tatton) or Lymm which is Jn 21 (Southbound easiest for me) and then we can nip off to the A556 OR.....the Little Chef on the A556 Whichever is easiest fo everyone?? Looking forward to meeting you all anyway, hope it's a nice sunny day

    It starts at 10am I think and i guess we will have to turn up early. How about us all meeting up somewhere first, and we can all go over to Tatton Park together? I'll be flying down the A556 or not...probably in a large queue of traffic like everyone else attempting to get there..lol..don't they know it will waste us lot LOADS of petrol sat in a jam?! hehe...

    Since having my beastie now for 3 weeks I've really tried hard to spot any other VR's on the road oop here in Madchester land. But haven't seen any as yet, because I'd give you a toot, a flash and a wave if I did in the spirit of things. So, own up, anybody else out there in the Greater Manchester/Lancs area have a VR that is also a member on here, and if so let's see ya! :-d

    I know what you mean. It's a quirky thing if I have that done and I spent a lot of my life in one. It just kinda fits my mad side. But my artistic side has been telling me to come up with something myself and I've been looking at bits and bats of designs that I might morph into something that I prefer. I had an airbrush tat done the other week and I quite liked it. Nothing too fancy, just a sort of quasi celtic-tribal winged thing with a little heart.     Ok some of you have read my 'Why VR6 post' which ok, it's a bit lengthy. But I said i am about to rebel even further and get myself inked. So. The above? Or a nice simple tribally thing. As if I don't know what you're all going to say anyway..hehe But the above WILL be orange. It's the law. But I read something somewhere about having to get permission off VW to use their image? Is this right? How would they sue me?

    checked your tyres? does the car pull when you brake as well? other than that perhaps the disks/pads aren't lined up correctly?? I'm no expert but have experienced this in other cars. I knew I wasn't braking properly today myself and noticed tyres weren't pumped up enough, seemed to help.
