  1. turn the stearing wheel to make the track rod come out giving you more room.. If left side then full lock right. right side fully lock left.. and stop been a pussy and pull it While your there try not to damage any off the rubbers on the ball joint or gater ect. Also have you got both wheels off the grown or just the one side jacked up. If you only got the one side up the anit roll bar will be pushing the wishbone up and will make it harder to pull it out. Good luck
  2. Can you adjust castor off that ball joint plate? Or is there anyway of setting it up if you didn't scribe it.. Reason i ask is im doing the front half of my 5 stud convertion and its already in bits... Im getting my tracking and camber set up after im finished so aslong as i put them both in the same place (pushed in asfar as they can go) then i should be ok?? I don't need to set up the castor up??
  3. wheel side?? Undo the big nut (32mm i think) and just tap it out.. Think you have to drop the driveshaft off the gearbox side or undo the ball joint to have enuff room
  4. Between a 400bhp rotrex and 400bhp turbo.. which will feel fastest to drive? Would the turbo feel faster because of all the lag..., Then a massive hit of power making it feel faster? Turbo more power lower down the rev range?
  5. is that yous phat vr6 ?? it is luvly if it is mate whats the colour indian o0r hot chilli red ? Nope not mine mate :-( Mines the black one <<<. It is a realy nice colour tho.. And works well with the aftermarket bumpers on it.. I like so many styles i donno what to do to mine..Need more than one car lol.. Think its going to be smoothed standard bumpers for me and poss a ventro front somwhere down the line.. wouldn't mind trying them bumpers for abit tho and that colour is spot on
  6. LOL I donno what it it but it seems alot of dub owners hate on saxos lol. Ive seen a euro one that looked alright tho My first car was a dub and always will be (untill i can aford an exspencive dirty audi) Just don't treat your VR like your saxo and it will be ok... Out of intrest what you got planned for your mk3??/
  7. http://spturbo.com/ there you go...and 24v turbo will be nice
  8. Looks good. You've put some hours in there with the 800 grit lol.. Paint work looked good before you started id have just polished it lol.. Going to 100% be mint when you finish. Think the wheels will look good Whats the reason behind the TT wishbones?
  9. Oh I hate big crazy spikey bumpers.. Gold /silver Mesh.. Poor wheel to arch aliment. Masive tail wails. Bonnit scoops, Crap body kits, Lexus lights, Thin rims, Number plates, cars that arn't low. hectic flip 2 tone paint. Over the top fiber glass ice/sub installs, neon lights. more lights than needed.. Colour coded dash. If it hasn't got any of the above id probaly like it
  10. Wheres all the hate coming from??? lol. Things would be boring if all cars are the same.. Hence the reason for doing shit to them in the first place.. I hate saxos but as long as a dubs well done simple and smart (not takky or boy racer like) i still think it looks good. even if i anit somthink id do it myself
  11. LOL ive just come in from fitting mine.. I was quite happy about it but everyones just killed it for me ha ha... Umm ive also got a DTM waiting to go on :-| Havn't got it parked in the middle of the screen tho..... that looks silly.. Its tucked in under the bonnit.. Looks more smooth to me when parked up. I think the no wiper look looks wicked but not pratical in england. Alot of the americas do it.. Anyway hope I havn't done a halfords mod lol
  12. Phat VR6

    Spotted!

maybe not..... didn't make sence at first
  13. INA tappets. Is that a make? Not an abbreveation? Whats better about them..Light weight?
  14. Theres a thread on vortex about fitting them on the 12v.. Vortex is so packed with information its hard to take it all in... Ive read as above that they are good for 600 bhp but aparenty theres a few disadvantages about them. 1 been that a rebuild if it does go wrong it is VERY exspencive and parts are hard and exspensive to buy compared to the O2A box 2nd and i don't realy understand it is that because its 6 speed your changing gear all the time, Gear changes take along time so its not realy any faster than the 5 speed.. and that the long ratio of the 5 speed is better for driving a high po
  15. http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=146537 Just seen this on E38.. Think there the brakes your on about
  16. When im abit older (21 now) and when got some more cash.. I want one so much tho.. Realy tempted to a loan lol... My problem is self control I know when ive got one ill just keep filling the tank and going into my overdraft. Oh well its getting done anyway. Hopfully this time next year and ill be bolting a turbo in
  17. lol You can get a 90 degree air drill if its too tight.. Not sure if they do an electric one tho
  18. I think the paint its self is more exspencive than i first thought... Ive got another place down to £120... Anyway ive desided to do it myself now. I can the compressor spray gun ect for £300 so two bumpers and a boot lid down the line it should have payed for its self .. I just hope I can get a good job without a spray booth
  19. Ive got supersports fixed damping coilovers and i like them.. Good ride firm but quite bumpy.. Adjustable damping are ment to be better but i think it would take a while to get then set up properly.. To be fair i don't think anyone would be able to tell the difference between driving one with cheep coilovers and exspencive coilovers.. I get the feeling you pay for the name but pehaps the exspenive ones last longer..
  20. as above and tap it all the way in with a small hammer... sounds like youve turned it into a right shit of a job good luck
  21. If it stops when you disconect the brown plug it seems to indicate that your problem... And half way on your temp gauge is perfix
