  1. 215/40/r17 mate 205s will fit aswell but thats streched. And to if you will have any rubbing depends on et but as your not low you should be ok
  2. Can't you get one of them AFR gauges.. That will tell you for sure and you can keep an eye on it.. Make sure its not running lean..
  3. Shafted mate.. Looks nice for a mini aswell. At least it anit your VR and it can be replaced.. If i see it down my end il chase the **** down and ring old billy boy
  4. I don't think theres any room for a tubular manifold.. They take up quite alot of space and its a tight fit with the log type. The other thing is if you can get 500 bhp from the log type so whats the point in changing it
  5. Good to hear you've sorted it mate. Vince is very helpfull
  6. I wouldn't think so bud.. The ecus might even be different.. Geeza that you brought the chip off might have been running it round like that without even knowing.. Depends if he ever put it on the rolling road
  7. I donno but C2 might still make chips for chargers. I think if you got a chip for 6 psi yet your running 8.5psi then that would cause your afr to drop off like that because your adding more air than the chip thinks.. causing it to run leaner than it should be?? You could try having a word with z enginnering if its a new kit.. get them to send you another chip to try
  8. The reason it looks like its somthink to do with the map is because of that big dip at 5500 rpm but at 6000 rpm the injectors are still been able to produce the fuel.. The graph doesn't show tickover so you can't say If you got it to say 13 from 5500 to 6000 then not only would be be more safe but that small dip in power on your BHP graph would probaly disserper aswell I think if you managed to keep it at 14 (perfix air to fuel) all the way across then you would produce even more power across the rev range But as to if there trying to get more money there not i don't think.. I wouldn't be t
  9. Sorry I think ive confused you.. Its only if you inroduce alot more fuel that you will loose power.. As you know theres a perfix fuel to air mixure that gives good power while keeping your engine safe (147.1)... And the more revs and more air the more fuel required Im sure that when they say its running abit lean there talking about the fact that more fuel on tick and high revs would be nice to make sure you don't damage anythink.. Nothink to do with gaining more power. I think there talking about that big dip at 5500 rpm on the AFR graph.. Not the BHP or torgue graff.. put that probaly
  10. If the mixure it to rich then you will loose power... Not gain power
  11. They get more power the leaner it is... Its just not safe as you say it melts your pistons.. Overfueling will cause it to splutter and not run nice.. loose power Pehaps in your case just don't stay in the redline and then asuming you want to change pullys go to a stage 3 pully, Bigger injectors and a map.. That way your not wasting any money and gaining power for the fact you've payed out for bigger injectors and a map
  12. One at the bottem of the wing on the left hand side as you look at it and i think theres 2 under the bumper... Can't remember for sure tho
  13. Ye id love a 6 speed too. Id be after a O2m box out the 4 motion.. ment to take 600bhp reliable.. but thats somthink id do when im older with more cash.. As were on the subject. Can you, or is there any point in putting a LSD in a 4 wheel drive car??
  14. I allways wanted red in my black bay but now ive seen it id proabaly go for black
  15. Unlucky mate.. If you got the reg you should be ok.. Ive got a black bonnit. Need a respary few stone chips you can have for cheep...
  16. Im not sure on the price but to have the final drive put in the gearbox needs to be striped down and rebuilt.. So if you put the LSD and the final drive in at different times you got to pay to have the gearbox rebuilt twise.. Instead of once.. I think the laybor is about £500 for a rebuild?? So you will end up paying that 2 times
  17. Is it a 4 door mate. try the rods inside the rear door
  18. Ive got the discs but green stuff pads
  19. It will cost you ALOT more to put it in later...
  20. See thats the kind of price I was thinking.. Is that them doing all the prep work aswell.. Can't remeber if you got them smoothed or not but put some pics up
  21. I dont think they suffer from power loss realy.. From what i see from rolling road results high millage motors in good nick make more power than what they where ment to new (190bhp instead of 170bhp) I recorded a vid of my clocks then timed my 0-60 on it with a stop watch.. Altho not accrate it still said 6 secs. Was probaly more like 7 secs tho... I dont think your non trashed VR will make any more BHP than your mates trashed VR as long as he lets it warm up and changed oil and filter
  22. A VR6 will take a trashing more than a 1.4/1.6/1.8 engine as its designed to go fast and hit the redline.. You redline a 1.4 around for a few years and it going to give up... My VR 97 had 140,000 full Vw full serice histrory 6 owners so i guessed it had been ragged around.. It still runs sweet. Know knocking or tappin noises. Good compression no oil leaks, Does need chains and headgauskit (leaking abit of coolant) . Ive got reseats of all the money spent on it and in its hole life its never had any internal engine work, clutchs, gearbox problems.. Diff came out the gearbox when i got it
