  1. You can change them if you want.. Is the track rod bent? If not and theres no play then theres no point replacing anythink. Nope dont take the steering wheel off untill after you've had it tracked. When you have it tracked they put a clamp on the streering wheel to hold it strate you need to track it up with the steering wheel offset so his got adjustment if that makes sence Yep wind out the track rod end say 3 turns on the one you run out of adjustment on I cba to read the link (to long) but you do need to tighten the track rod locking nut up tight after? If you copy and paste my first post

  7. Cool! I don't really know how 2 strokes work' date=' but that answers it, cheers :-) I just remember reading somewhere that 2 strokes couldn't be used in cars and things because of emission and noise problems...... and the exhaust gases hanging around in the cylinders on the intake stroke.....hence some engines having some kind of pressure to push the fumes out.....or something?! Didn't the 1.25L Fiesta had a Yamaha 2 stroke engine in it? [/quote'] You got it spot on kev, as the exhaust gas leaves the cylinder head the inlet air/fuel mix is draged into its place from the vacume left from e
  8. you can do it a much easyer way fella... remove the streering wheel clamp Tell him to wind out the track rod abit on the one his run out of adjustment with Now get him him to turn the streering wheel untill the side his having troble with is tracked spot on or (close) Now he has enuff room to track the other side then all you gota do it remove your strearing wheel to straten it all up again. indicator cancleation works off your strearing wheel so all is good Hope this helps Tom
  9. id just let them frown while i cleaned my discs up lol
  10. if you unclip that plactic bit that goes round the controls and put it in that space under the ashtray it fits realy nice. so mounting the hole control box thing wouldn't be to bad. getting the cables longer so they still reach would take the piss tho do you still need your cd player if you got the pc tho? id just sack it off if you could

  15. never parked my car at a show before but dont you get room to roll forward and backwards a few meters?
  16. Looks good mate. you went for the right wheels in the end.
  17. lol the fins on the crank are to aid cooling over the cylinder head on air cooled engines, water cooled 2 strokes dont have them 2 strokes use the exhaust (expansion chamber) that big bubble exhaust thing and sonic sound waves to cause a vacuum which sucks the air fuel mixture though the engine which im guessing is what your thinking of Think it depends on if you got a piston ported 2 stoke or crank ported to if it will run backwards and im sure the ignition will have to be changed unless it runs exactly on tdc.. so if it runs say 6 deg before top dead center then youd have to adjust it to
  18. Hello. Im doing alittle project atm and i was just wondering if anyone out there knows if you can run a 2 stroke backwards? And if you can will it perform the same? I think you would need to move the igniton timing to the other side but apart from that i can't think why it wouldnt work thanks for any info
  19. doesn't sound so impressive when you start talking wheel hp does it lol
  20. yep sounds like the synros... which involves a gearbox rebuild.. its ALOT cheeper to find a good 2nd hand box
  21. make sure your clutch is properly alined, You need to let the box hang abit lower and then lift it up so you can wiggle it around abit and adjust the angle. Leaving it surported if you need a rest but not at the high you need to slide it on as it can give you the wrong angle. haha tight fit getting it up there in the first place enit also make sure its not hitting on the chassie leg. You might have to lower the engine down or higher it abit to give clearence a mate can make it go on alot easyer lol good luck..
  22. Realy nice motor. smoothed bumpers coming my way when i can aford a compressor lol. Another one also lovin the schmidts, need to get rid of my wheels and get some wide 16s Have you rased the bonnit at the back?
  23. the smoke COULD be blowing past the turbo.. just somthink to check apart from that as its on boost then it could also be rings and bores would taking mass away from the crank make it weeker?
