  1. lol thought id lost this tread. cheers mate. Made a 2nd one now, Its deeper and ive chopped as much weight as i can out of it. and got some hella all reds Changed quite a bit tbf stripped out carbon bonnet ect. still a bit of a nail but it will get there hidden brake pipes, bias valve in cab battery in boot
  2. With something like that at that price level' date=' you're not sure how much science has been applied to it or whether it's just been cobbled together onto stock runners. [/quote'] which it has. I believe the science and the only reason not to use a standard intake is the fact you can't fit a big turbo with an ATP manni imo. Having runner compensation will increase power. It has to. it follows the laws. Its why they include it in the standard inlet in the first place and its why all engine manufactures if possible keep runner lengths the same length if possible. Also the runner lengths are
  3. No its the same as running on the min mark which is fine. I can retain the capacity but the extra work means it won be worth me doing it. Considering the R32 sump fits the 12v id say yes but I haven't tried it yet
  4. 9:1 is fine for the power you want to make. will drive alittle better off boast aswell
  5. Made in steel so it can still take the odd knock. ^^ yep easy job with axle stands, 3 hours max. (PM me if anyone's interested) http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?321802 Tom
  6. Speak to tescos. they will pay for the damage
  7. ive removed my ABS, and love it. If you've changed brake pipes before and have all the flaring kit then its a easy job. If you still want to do it let me know and ill go into more detail
  8. I think its also to do with exhaust turbine housing size. i don't speak from experience but the larger housing that come on later 1.06 ect tend to be a bit more kind on 3rd gear. Also a bit of mechanical sympathy doesn't go a miss lol, not like i have any myself. 02m mk4 boxs tend to fix the problem for good... but going way out of your budget
  9. yeah smoke the headlights.. just done my vento ones and they look mint. id say slam it more... and if your interested they have the old skool vento grills on ebay de-badged... only reason i say is its hard to find de-badged vento grills. used to be a chop of 2 standard ones edit: here the grill i was on about mixed my smoked lights. still looks a bit nail like lol but should look better with a painted bumper
  10. you can use the led strip lights inside standard CL and Vento lights on the outside if you cut a bit of the reflectors away
  11. there's at least 5-6+ people on here that do the 1/4 mile thing. I think its a brilliant idea and more will follow. little tread with specs and times and a few photos ect, Or even an area to feature all the bigger HP VR6- V6 cars. like a turbo/ charger build thread area.
  12. do you know the spec of your last exhaust? this is a almost impossible question to answer lol what you want to know is how to make your car sound like the last one you owned?
  13. I really don't know for sure dude. but this i my opinion The map will open the injector for a curtain amount of time, It wont compensate for injector size as it has no way of knowing there's different injectors fitted. So as you said, the 440s are letting more fuel though than the 360s would. so you need to cut down the amount of fuel its letting though. Surly they should have sent you a base map related to your injector size?
  14. fair play. always fix what you knows broken first. so whats left?
  15. RCF im also Dyslexic, your spelling isn't that bad mate. but I could tell you where, can randomly tell when someones dyslexic and so far never been wrong, recon tony is as well. Anyway mine does it automatically now. dunno why could be firefox?
  16. normal dissy cars are around 6-7 deg before tdc at idle if that helps. good starting point. Ask kev, he will know, probaly send you one of his maps
  17. front or back? Front FT back tighten finger tight nip with adjustables then back off half a turn to a little bit. You want the very very smallest amount of play with the wheel on
  18. older less powerfull engine. You want odb2 96+ tbh. Main thing you need to look for is RUST. and it can hide itself well on a mk3. imo take a little MOT plastic tapping hammer and check all the underseal. it might look ok but you need to tap it and look for the unseal moving as rust can be hiding under there. The sounds changes and you can have a little bit of movement when you push the underseal. Everything mechanical can be replaced rather cheaply / easy
