snap, but just the once on my previous car
-
in one look its a good isea, maybe we can all drive round with 'back to the future style' bar code number plates. or no plate at all just a micro chip implanted inside the vehcal chassis somewhere. but on a second look it looks like another blantant smack in the face for the honest people and the motorist

when its moving its a typical vr6 schitsphreniac, passive when pootling about and a friggin animal when wound up. it tends to stall at lights or junction most of the time or if sittingin traffic but sometimes it dont do it, the abs thing is a bit of a worry since i only fitted a used abs pump 18 months ago at great expense along with all new sensors. but the abs pump is making a whirrring sound, the cam sensor is spotless, almost mirror polished clean by my own fair hands. and the isv and isv baffle box have both been cleaned to within an inch of its life. i havent touched the maf through fear

nah not fitted yet, only finished it wednesday night and had to wait for the varnish to set over the gold leaf, it said 24 hours for a normal coat but i got a 1mm layer over it to raelly give it some depth and pop out, will be on the car for sunday so will take my camera with me for a few 'arty' shots lol

yeahsame one mate, i knew it was happening but didnt realise they had done it till i went for some of their 99ron super fuel lol

was poking around the dvla website and came across this. just out of curiosity i was wondering what u guys thought of it. my only concern as a law abiding citizen is that the frequencies these things operate at is clearly stated on the test results and a blocker/jammer could easily be made from parts availible at any maplins store, their the same frequency as car alarms lol) http://dvla.gov.uk/media/pdf/other/enp_report.pdf

rear bearings are quite easy since they go into the new disk's and just need taping hone with a die of some kind, i used a large socket equal to the size of the outer ring of the bearings. a few taps after packing em with plenty of grease and wahlah

GUYS I FOUND THIS ONLINE AND THOUGHT ID STICK IT UP. IT SEEMS TO COVER THE BASICS AND INCLUDES WHAT HE THINKS HIS NEW TOTAL POWER SHOULD BE ON PAPER, NO DYNO PROOF THOUGH, BASICALLY JUST THE BASIC IDEAS BEHIND WHAT WORKS FOR A VR6. p.s. admin, if this is crap then please delete it Budget VR6 Tuning. The VR6 is among the easiest normally aspirated engines (non-turbo, non-supercharged) to get some free horsepower out of. Ok, you have to pay for some of it - but you'll be amazed with what you can do for less than the average set of wheels on your neighborho
-
also i done a bit of tarting up on the vr. now sporting gold leaf badges on the sides and rear, plus got some new engine plastics (thanks L4G VW) and have gold leafed the vw badge and the lettering. just needs fitting now pics to follow as soon as bt pull there fingers out there backsides and turn my internet back on lol

just remembered tesco has been knocked down lol. will have to be across the road at halfords if thats ok with everyone. 18:30 at halfords since its literally 2 mins to the island from there. i'll be there but my mate in his r32 wont as somethings come up.
-
well u managed to settle it amicably and to the benefit of the male members lol
-
i on for tesco. unless people wanna meet a bit earlier at mine for coffee before we shoot off. i'll get the ho, i mean the girlfriend to put the kettle on lol also if any admin's are reading this is there any chance someone can send a vr6oc banner down asap please so we can fly the flag for the club whilst were there? i'll send it straight back monday morning.

VR6 Safe Lowering Measurement
gavinvr6 replied to Richard Andrews's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
you should be able to get 80mm out the rear and prob about 60-65 out the front before the sump catches. i went 80 front 100 rear. basically on the bump stops. but brought it up 20mm all round for safety -
schweeeeeet toosh. yay to the members wifes section, winner get's free membership for a year, but no porn lol. i'll add one of my bird and her mate rubbing fake tan into each other lol

liphook isnt that another 5 miles north mate, ur getting closer and closer to bordon lol. to be honest i aint fussed where we hook up guys, me and adam will roll up to meet ya all where ever the need be. would prefere not to drive north just to drive back past mine but will do if i gotta
-
sorry but i like the idea of lots of people hearing lots of sweet vr's all popping on over run when stopping at lights. and snarling like 'aint eaten for a month t-rex chasing dinner' when launching off from the obligatory traffic light grand prix lol
-
liphook? was thinking more havant or rowlands castle since the convoy can go straight through the town centre and over the bridge to hayling. that way the convoy gets noticed by lots of people instead of going round via the motorway and nobody getting to hear the orgasmic sound of a pack of hungry vr6's going hunting lol, need to find out if damo is coming from bordon.
-
id say its over fuelling, just my tuppence worth, how long does it smoke for? is it one good puff or ten minutes? my car also stalls at junctions so ur not alone. but i think thats got somethig to do with my maf since it also idles very irratic and keeps trying to dye.
-
plus he thinks a grand and half for his boot build, its just a ready made vibe box with some mdf 'spoilers' to glue the 6x9's to.
-
i like the smooth boot with the led lights, plus the detailing on the interior. but my god, why not buy a absolutely mint showroom clean vr6 for 5 g's and spend 15 making it a twin turbo 600bhp 4wd lambo waster with a 200 shot of giggle gas just for the fun of it?
-
freedom introduce yourself in the new members area please, not halfway through a thread lol

ha ha ha. sorry, that happened to me. if u got the grill off u can in theory open the bonnet by using a screw driver and flipping the catch which is bloody hard. or u could do what i done and dremel out the front of the catch box on one side and flip the catch that way, then check the little 'in-line fuse' looking thing on the inside drivers wing. had to hold mine shut with cable ties round it as it kept popping open everytime i tried opening the bonnet. unfortunatly its a terrible design being in 2 parts coz that little bit is a real weak spot, do a search for bonnet cable or bonnet catch and
