  1. I can get my fans to kick in if I remove the plugs from the control module and jump the large red to each of the two to the right. 1 at a time checking both speeds. can also get the aux run on pump to kick in. yet they won't kick in if I bypass the temp sender unit. Also not kicking in if I let the car run up to temp. getting desperate as im slowly cooking my poor engine. but my fault code reader (cheap genden one) isnt finding anything wrong. ive checked and replaced all fuses. cleaned all contacts inside the plug and tried 2 different modules.
  2. The yard/depot manager showed me the mot receipt u get nowadays and it has no advisories in the box on the right. This is from a reputable business who we have been using for years.
  3. My main concern is I was told bottom ball joint were gone, mechanics words were f***ing hanging out, speed bump equals seperation. Also beleived other suspension components needed attention as did engine mounts. But the mechanics who did the work just replaced bottom ball joints and left the rest. This is a company vehical so the first fitter would have no reason to lie about bits failing, where as the others who done the works are known to be lazy w***ers. I been moaning the header tank is leaking for 3 months and they have seen it themselves, Not even convinced it actually went for an mot an
  4. Its not dull thud from worn rubber its to harsh for that. Apparently its just past an mot. But I'm not entirely convinced its road worthy.
  5. Couple of questions. Would like to know if they would come up/show up in an mot and if they would be a fail or advisory. Vehical is a 3.5t ldv van coolant tank-visible obvious leak Knocking on suspension, bottom ball joints replaced, still doing it just slightly less. Knocking noise under initial load (gear stick jerking at same time) Vibration on brakes when slowing from motorway speed, front brakes replaced.
  6. Nah didnt half inch it, some nice 'do as ya likey' tried to steal the 4000 gallon fuel bunker from the works depot, and mr plod left about 30 mtrs of it wrapped round the fuel bunker when they finished thier 'investigations'

  11. Anyone tell me what the faults listed are for? I believe low voltage terminal 30 is something to do with the MAF. But the other 2 are a mystery to me.

  15. oh yeah i got that bit but my prob is where the tb pipe come of the matrix pipe its split where the pip enlarges. what i wqnt to do is just chop it out and fit a bit of pipe in its place removing the tb pipe completely. but concerned about the left over tb to header pipe. can this just be plugged up or is it possible to just cut the header top hose at the tb return. is it long enough?
  16. is a bit of copper or steel tube ok for the matrix pipe and just plug up the one from the header?
  17. is it safe to chop and re-jig the pipe work to delete the tb heater pipes. im only asking as my matrix to tb water pipe has split at the big bit in the middle and i need to use the car.

  20. a lot of people are complaining when they never even watched the show. simply because they heard about what he said. i say grow up it was a joke, slightly of the bad taste variety but thats his sense of humour and i think he is bloody hilarious. i've probably seen every top gear hundreds of times. i always read him column in the sun, yes im a commoner, and i have almost every book he has written. YET NOT ONCE HAVE I FOUND ANY THING HE SAID OFFENSIVE.
