  1. The small independants wont touch it because they are worried about damaging the rims. I'm sure it could be plugged, but i can't find anybody who does 'plugs' anymore. If anyone near me has used a garage to fit or repair stretched tyres, then please let me know where. Thanks.
  2. I have a screw in my front tyre which i want to get sorted out but i can't find a garage that will do it locally as the tyre is stretched and the rim is very exposed. Anyone know where i can get it done in my general area?
  3. Hi guys, still have this problem. Gonna strip it down this week end weather permiting, unless anyone can offer advice??? I've noticed that the lock seems to work a bit slower than the others, don't know if that may have something to do with it.
  4. i'm 30 with a clean license and i still pay £650! I used to pay £800 a year for my 300bhp scooby so i think VRs are just expensive in general. When i got my last quote i was told that if mine wasn't a highline it would have been £200 cheaper! sucks!
  5. i'm running 17's and coil overs and find ride quality a bit harsh. however, i am also running stretched tires so thats probably why! B19DRG - if your thinking of selling those wheels then let me know please. :-)
  6. Feel your pain m8! if you wanna sell the schrick then let me know what you want for it. Thanks
  7. Its the guy in the drivers seat that makes the difference imo. The vr engine seems quite lazy but if you get the revs up it will shift. As far as published figures go, i would think that by now (over a decade since they were published) most VRs will vary depending on how they were run in, how well they have been serviced, milage, etc.. even the petrol used in it will effect performance over time so i don't think the figures would be very accurate now. Thats only my opinion though.
  8. Well done m8. its always worth asking!
  9. My m8 had his windscreen put through by a piece of rubble falling off the back of a lorry on the m11. He called the haulage company and they covered all his costs with no questions asked! Would be worth a try if you know the company??
  10. wow... if only i could remember where i put that £16k!!!
  11. yeah. the wheels are calibres. think they're the wrong offset tho as i am running them with spacers otherwise they foul the callipers. cos of that i have to run a stretched tyre too, otherwise they scrub. it the only thing i don't like about the car. would like to get some TT comps but will have to wait till next year now.
  12. Ariel is oem BMW i am lead to believe. The wheels are a replica BBS style but not sure what make, will check through the file for the receipt if u want?
