  4. probaly not , as my miltek is like it.. but 3" all the way through , is better.. i honestly didnt think you could go 3" over the axle with ovaling it.. i had 2.5 " on my old mk2 and that knocked like anything, and it was only mildly lowered

  7. so has my bank balance but ive found no two insurance companys to be the same.. even the same level of cover causes massive jumps in premium, must be the mark up they make.

  18. not better than the one we hammered on eh ben
  19. you still coming ben ???? if so are you bringing your ymca size tent.. might save some room, so we can all bring something else..like a bbq..beer...tools and gaffer tape..oh and the petrol tanker i need to get there and back.
  20. i know from experiance that getting it to go over the rear beam without banging, on anything bigger than 2.5" is a major pain in the arse.. thats a very nice exhuast.
  21. compression test is a good place to start.. deffo do the valve stem oil seals..and check the rings..but compression test would tell you all this anyway.. cams again, good idea if you are gona add them anyway and have the spare wonga.. but a good engine is the best place to start..check little ends , crank , bore wear etc.. i ended up using my 170000 mile engine as it was in better conditionm than the supposed 90000 mile one i brought that had a little end problem, and loads of float in 1 piston.
  22. i alreasy have a 3" downpipe.. tight as you like going under the bulkhead..then into a hollowed cat.
