  2. think thats about right tony.. so yeah , tel them what you want and go from there.. as i say the difference is night and day, and once i had traction the acceleration is phenonimal.. i even had a play with a motorcyle on the way home..

  7. nah , just the adjustnent n the wastegate.. ive wound the adjustment back in half way, as there was no tension on the spring.. so ill run it into work tonight, and have another look.. its someting ive done, as it wa holding boost fine, when it was rr .. it made 327bhp, at a rock solid 12psi..

  9. right, i have one of these on my vr turbo at the mo, ive put some redtops in, 4 " maf , in prep for a c2 chip (injectors are to be changed to greens) the problem is this.. im getting boost spike in 3rd gear onwards. the unit itself is a adjustable external unit, from i think 6 - 20 psi. it has a top port and side port, at the mo ive got it hooked upto the side port.. or should i have it hooked to the top port ?? i thought the top port was only to be used if your using a mbc/boost controller. secondly, if i want to run a set spring i.e non adjustable, can i just wind the adjustment nut off, an
  10. ill be going c2, when funds allow.. i did and do still want standalone, as ive always been intrested in mapping. i also found that a quick tighten of the pipe clips, after a hot run , has stopped anything coming of since.. heat expands an all that..

  13. ah.. a trip to maplins it is then.. green tops are on the cards .. these are a stop gap until i get the chip from c2. i actually runs quite well, with the redtops at 4 bar.. but i dont think ill be pshing it hard..

  15. right, got both installed now. what i would like to know is, what fuel pressure are you guys using.. ive got my rrfpr , set a 3.5 bar.. and it seems to be working ok.. i realise that it aint gonna be perfect . but it should surfice until end of next month when i can get a chip from c2. im gonna stick it on vagcom later and see whats doing what, with a little logging.. also i seem to get sometimes a little bogging, which ive put down to excess fuel before the cams and turbo kick in. cheers jim

  18. long hex key... but they will come off, as weve already had them off.. just need to bring a trolley jack each.. as the new untis are ready assembled, just need to add bearings and top mounts.. and rears should be a piece of piss. as its the same again.
