you will get a ban . lube up and take whats coming althought you already no that a good brief may save your licence , but i doubt it. courts look very dimly at the mo at speeding through roadworks, the problem is that you were 47mph over a posted speed limit . now you can of course check that all the signs were correct, i.e size, spacing etc.. you also have to apply for tempory speed limits if they havent you can get it overturned ... i dont work with traffic managment on a daily basis, and none of what i said has any basis .
