  2. did two things , looks way better than it did imho !
  3. can you get down to me ? youve got me number aaron give us a tinkle
  4. ok im in for this and a mate in a restored mk2 gti .
  5. have you got the maf orintated the right way.. have you extended the wiring to it .. tbh bolting on the rotrex into a standard vr6 is a fairly simpe afair . there are various ways of accomadting the extra power. a remaped ecu is the best way , but a rrfrp will work and still achive decent results. what pulley do you have ? what spark plugs, what gap etc etc.
  6. hill sprint for me,or you may be able to twist my arm for woodbridge
  7. induction kit could be bracket and a cone filter.. thats the kit .. other people buy a cone filter and make there own bracket. pthers buy a replacemnt performance element for the standard air box.. when push comes to shove its what sort of sound you want .. cone filter can be noisy, panel filter less so. superchargring aint to hard if you know who to bring it to .
  8. you added anything recently, stereo perhaps ?
  9. well, cams and a remap .. should see you at just under 500 , depending on where you get them from fyi, most induction kits do not add power , most lose it . hot air and all that . vw airboxs flow extremly well secondhand cams can be had under 200 pounds, and a map circa 200-300 depending on if you need the cu socketing or not .
  10. no we will go m11, a14 , so perhaps a service area enroute .. just send us a text if you do decided to go up by yourself and ill head up with the others
  11. nice one lads... nige ill bell you when we leave and meet at trumptington if you like ? as we can do a12, a120, m11 to you then onto the a14 pod. im, sure golfrabbitt is also tagging along , and maybe my mate in his audi
  12. im stil going. ill also be at the 8 ball diner. see the hard core lads there.. boo hoo all you weather pansie's
  13. yep and as we all know the pod has its own weather system
  14. yep ill be there rain or no rain
  15. anything that stops water so probaly a suggestion from above
  16. ooh, also took a vid of the car from inside , which i will post later . and some continual development with matt from united motorosports .. a big thumbs up .
  17. found a few splits in the pipe to the recirc tonight , whilst i was fashioning a air filter cover , out of tights and a old coffee lid. coffee lid to provide a splash guard and the tights ( 70 denier no less ) to provide an airfilter sock to stop water ingress , as the vf airfilter is situtaed next to the drivers wheel , the worst place ever i also cleaned the maf . replacing a load of jubliee clips , and only used 1 cable tie ..
  18. failing that a starved / faulty oil pump , or blocked strainer in the sump
  19. have you checked the standard oil cooler , these can fail
  20. v1/v2 wil make more power at the same boost level as a v9 , but a v9 can be spun quicker , im gonna be running a 2.5 " pulley on my v9 , which we more than likely see me at the limit of the standard internals. a v9f with a 2.5" pulley , should be 10/12 psi .
  21. ive got a few belt lengths depneding on pulley size.. i know tony runs a standard vr6 aircon belt . i have a few gates part no's ill post them later for you
