    Me neither, that's a hell of a lot of money, plus it's an Auto. I wouldnt worry about the mileage on VR's as long as they have history. I picked up mine with 92k on the clock for £2500 the other month and it's great :-) Chris

    Wheelbase?- i phoned them today for those (Ace 128's or something??) and they said they stocked them in 5 x 100.Spoke to a bloke called John. Those ones /\ look like SSW's?? if so then they ain't available either , or at least for at least a month. I'm in the same predicament...:-( Chris

    Do a search on G-max. The 35mm drop is the common one.I'm currently running 17's with this drop and no problems.. Chris

    I've always been told that the 'cream' is due to only doing short runs all the time. Loads of cars i've owned (including my VR) have suffered from this and i havent had on Head Gasket go yet! Chris

    Right, checked it out today... Theres an electrical supply getting to the motor so no broken wires and i also find it hard to believe it's the motor as everything is like new and un-touched. So, i'm thinking it could be the relay? Anyone point me in the right direction as to which relay i need to find? Cheers Chris

    Decided i'm going to purchase some new shoes for my VR as my current ones need a)new tyres and b)are badly corroded.. So my budget for wheels and tyres is £500.     I want a new wheel as i hate the standard VR one - it's like driving a bus!! But i can't decide what style to go for. Momo springs to mind but a lot of their designs i feel are either too 'chavvy' or too 'sporty' - i want one that will blend in with the VR interior. Anyone got any pics of their aftermarket wheels to help me decide? Cheers Chris

    My rear wiper won't work :-( the washer works fine but the wiper don't move...any ideas what to look for please before i start dismantling things? Thanks in advance Chris

    I am,had them on about 2 weeks now and cannot complain one bit. Make sure you check and preferebly change your top mounts though as i didnt at the time but just have tonight, makes the ride so much better. PS Top mounts & bearings from VW - £40 for the pair. Chris

    Is it coming from the front of the car? If so then check your top suspension mounts(the rubber ones).Mine had a knocking noise over bumps so tonight ive changed these(old ones were knackered when i got them off) and it's like driving a new car :-)so much quieter! Chris

    I'll be up for a meet, based in Scarborough then somewhere in-between would suit me, somewhere over the North York Moors perhaps? Give us a chance to have a nice drive over those roads :-) Would like to see and hear other Vr's. Chris
