  1. Thanks guys I think I probably will just go for the NGK as read a few good reviews.. :-)
  2. So it's time to replace the Sparks plugs on my VR6 OBD2, I have checked tps and can get standard plugs but I was wondering if NGK platinum spark plugs would be any good and if anyone has any experience with them? They're not much different in price I just wanted to know if there is any gains? Also if any others are any good? Thanks :-)
  3. Thanks for the reply I'm gonna have a look at it on Saturday as its too cold and dark after work! Hopefully it should sort it by swapping the wires around! So I don't need to add any wires??
  4. I've had a VR for a month or so now and it came with some crappy jvc stereo.. This stereo used to save radio channels however never held time or EQ etc.. So today I bought a new headunit with Bluetooth and all that (great buy for £36 brand new).. Now I've connected it up and it didn't require any adapters, the genuine cables went straight in, but now this doesn't hold and memory or anything at all! I've had look at a few threads and I already know from experience that if you swap yellow and red wires it cures it, however this is genuine wiring straight into the headunit so how can I resolve th
  5. Okay thanks I'll have a look at it tomorrow.. Also going to plug in a proper vag com from work to see if it throws something else, it's weird how the cold has made it do this though! Was fine just 2 days ago!
  6. Nope nothing about cam of crank sensor.. I can hear the fuel pump working when the ignition is turned on, it just won't turn over when cranking, how would I check if it's sparking?
  7. Yeah it's topped up mate I checked that
  8. Hey so I'm quite new to the vr6 game, this morning it was rather cold below 0*C.. I tried to start the car and it just kept cranking and wouldn't start! I know it's not the battery because it's cranking.. It seems like a fuel related problem, so I read a few threads and saw that maybe it could be a faulty coolant temp sensor.. I removed the plug on the blue sensor and same problem it wouldn't start? I then plugged it in when I got home and it through a fault regarding the g62 sensor. Could this be the problem or is it just because I unplugged it and turned the ignition on? I really need some h
  9. Cool thanks for the replies guys, anyone know if repairing a sill is a do-able job? Also any rough prices on it. Thanks
  10. Hey guys I'm new here and going to view/buy my first VR6 on Saturday, now the car seems pretty solid and the owner has already told me that there is rust corrosion on the o/s/f wing and n/s sill but nothing major.. My only issue is that he lives near the sea side and salty air and all that.. So is there hotspots I should search for on rust as I don't want a rust bucket! Also how hard is it to weld sills (I'm a mechanic not a welder) and is it really bad to have rusty sills? Thanks
