  1. That was all it was. They recaclulated the policy from the date of the offence and added it to the premium. :-(

    OBD 3?

Basically OBD III will help the powers that be keep a closer eye on what we are up and where we are going to in our cars. Big Brother is watching!!!
  3. They sure are!!! I felt like tying a not in that stupid elphants trunk :@
  4. If you're with Elephant, cancel your policy without telling them why and get insured with another company. Theiving gits upped my premium by nearly £200 for my first SP30.
  5. Hello mate. Not sure about this one but I had something similar happen to me on the way down to No Rice a couple of months back. Scared the life out of me cos it steamed up whilst the rain was persisting down and i was in the outside lane of the A3. My A/C isn't working very well so it took ages to clear. How long ago did you put the hoses on? Are you loosing water quickly and is your heater blowing hot? If you had put a pipe on wrong I don't think it would work properly. Check your footwell carpets for damp. Mist on the inside can sometimes be a sign of a faulty/leaking heater matrix or
  6. Bog standard common as muck, Black Magic (Highline) :-p With the optional rear doors
  7. That doesn't sound too bad to me RCF. Mine is much the same. If it is only hitting 110 when you've been really hammering it on the motorway then I wouldn't worry as long as it comes back down when you back off. Mine has been above that but I was on a private-ish road doing well over a ton on the tail of a CLK When I'm doing a constant 70-80 mph my temp is about 102. Not sure why you were getting different readings in the past. *-) Maybe you've opened up the internals a bit These VR lumps do like to run hotter than most cars and comsume a bit of oil so just keep an eye on it. The othe

    Ooops

NO WAY! PMSL Can't beat a bit of toilet humour eh
  10. Don't think he'll reach the £3800 reserve, especially as its near xmas. I bought mine a year ago and used the fact that it was near xmas as a reason to knock the guy down by £500.
  11. :-d That was like something out of Tom & Jerry. What got me was the way the ladder went and then about 2 seconds later he comes crashing down. What a fool
  12. I've got a Miltek cat back system on my car which I picked up for £100 s/hand. I had been looking at a new Jetex system prior to getting the Miltek as I didn't want anything too loud but the Miltek fitted perfectly and sounds lovely. I don't have any pics but there is about a 5mm gap between the tail pies and my lower rear spoiler which is exactly what I wanted. It does knock or catch anywhere so maybe I just got lucky but I'm more than happy with it. Kevin
  13. Its a lot quicker than a standard VR. I test drove one a couple of months ago and was really impressed. Handles like its on rails and has brakes that require very little effort. It pulls unbelievebly in every gear as you would expect. The gear ratios mean that there is very little or no rev loss between changes and although I didn't get to 125 lets just say it would have left my (standard-ish) VR easily. Not forgetting the bigger 3.2 24 valve lump. Its a beast!!! Kevin
  14. Whiter than white! Absolutely spotless :-p
  15. I have to disagree with you about G-Max suspension PHM. IMHO they are far from sub-standard bearing in mind that (boaty) springs and shocks were standard to the VR. I thought long and hard about what set-up to go for and did a lot of research before I went for G-Max. For me it came down to two things. 1. What my plans were for the car and 2. how much I wanted to spend. I had no intention (and still don't) of turning my VR into a track car so coilovers were not a necessity. I basically wanted to go lower and keep a level of comfort. I was on a bit of a budget and that extra £150 - £200 was p
  16. Hmm, I wonder where that charger came from......
  17. I don't think it will have done any damage. As long as the four bolts on each wheeel were tightened properly then it is very unlikely that you will have done any lasting damage. Like "Binliner" said the tyre was a lot more dangerous but I think you were more likely to have had your wheels stolen as a result of 1 missing wheel bolt as opposed to a wheel falling off. Kevin
  18. Try http://www.gmaxsuspension.co.uk/c1473_1589_1628_1662.htm The VR kit is the 40/VW/25 and is about £220 inc VAT Kevin
  19. I had a Black Triumph TR7 which I managed to convince myself was KITT from Knightrider. I had a General Lee (YEE HAA) but my favourite was prbably my Ford Sierra XR4I Sport.(Pre Cossie) Sadly some of the others skidded across the primay school playground at the equivalant of about 500mph and were never seen again :-(
  20. Nah, police, fire and ambulance got there too quick. Typical.
