  1. Def Mystic blue, same as mine. Lovely colour, even if I am biased
  2. Nice one bud, sounds like it was well worth your efforts in shopping around then! Was that with Brentacre, by any chance?
  3. Nice. Put in the hard work now and the ride itself should be no probs I did a 100 mile charity ride last year and will do it again this year too. Quite fancy trying something more than just a 1 day event though.
  4. Yeah it'll be good to hear how you get on. What is the total distance you'll be covering?
  5. I tae it they don't have a website? Where is nearest one to us, Ben, any idea?
  6. I think it's a bit of a myth about these Mulberry Highlines being rare.....common as muck, I say
  7. Fingers crossed for you bud. Always people on here willing to help and support when things go wrong. Keep the faith
  8. Has anyone mentioned 'Stand by me' yet? Another classic.
  9. Link is working for me now. Good luck with this Tim, a very good cause for raising money. Hope it all goes well!
  10. Sorry can't sponsor you more, as recently made redundant, but hope this helps. Well done Nat, very worthwhile cause
  11. We're going to a nice restaurant that's she's been bangin on about ever since i met her 3yrs ago! Finally got round to it, so hopefully that should earn me a few brownie points I can understand people saying it is a commercialised rip-off. But still nice to do something anyway, i think.
  12. Congrat's to you and Lisa! Just don't get talked into selling the VR
  13. Every £ i spend on my VR, I wonder whether I should save it to get a nice R32 (mk4). I do love my VR, but it's that thing about it's age and the fact that the older it get's, the more chance there is of things like rust becoming an issue
  14. So sorry to hear this Martin My thoughts are with you and Sal in what must be such a difficult time. Never met Jazz, but looks like he was a lovely dog.
  15. Only person who's driven mine is my mum, which i don't mind too much as she drives like Captain Slow ;-) Plus she doesn't have her own car and only borrows it on occasions, so i don't mind helping her out. Mind you, she did manage a tiny scrape on the front corner, which i was GUTTED about, but felt guilty about making her pay for repair so not got round to it yet and when i do, it'll be out of my own pocket cos i'm too nice! Would let certain mates have a go if i was in car with them. There are others i def wouldn't let near it though!!
  16. Happy birthday Jim, have a good one mate
  17. Chances are, there was someone who reported a claim against you which never went through and your insurer has forgotten to reinstate the NCD. Often happens. I wouldn't worry too much fella. If the claim had gone through, your insurer would have contacted you to request details at the time.
  18. To be honest, I don't think they make a massive amount of difference, unless you are a young driver. Worth checking though.
  19. I don't know the technical details (i'm someone else on here will explain), but they killed Gary's VR Turbo and Jake's 'charged mk2
  20. Insurance will generally go up slightly each year, once you have reached your cap of discounts (NCD, age etc.), which you have. I would say it's a decent-ish quote, although I still reckon you could get it lower, particularly with your excess being quite high. Try Chris Knott and also Brentacre. I'm with Brentacre and with similar details to you (other than postcode and my age (i'm 29yrs old) and my premium this year was about £260, but with a slightly lower excess of £350. Without meaning to offend you(!), I think your postcode may be partly why your quote isn't as low as it could be.
  21. That's where i got mine and they certainly weren't that much. I can check the receipt later, but if i remember right, think they were somewhere around £7 per plug.
