  1. Lovely cars mate. You really did rescue that 'rado!
  2. I'm not a fan of the bra either, but as bungy said, may be worth it just for the protection factor.
  3. I know, i remember you all gloating bout it when you got back!
  4. Sorry to hear this Sambo. That's sh*t.
  5. You're not far off there, ollie.....it's taken me most of the day (literally) to read through all this thread! Congratulations from me also, to your and your lady, Chris. Well chuffed for ya both and hope all goes well I'm really hoping I can still make this trip, but it partly depends on where my car is at in the new year (got alot of work to schedule in for it) and also on the likelyhood of there being snow! I really don't wanna go for a second time and not get out on the track
  6. I think he was just making a general point about how some people act, not necessarily having a pop out you bud.
  7. The smoked mk4 style ones are LHD only, just so you're aware.
  8. Very tidy Patrick. From what you were telling me, you got a great deal there on a fully loaded R32. Nice :-)
  9. ^^^ as above!! Seems like we can all (well, most of us!) get around this score, but you must have to get the thrust bang-on at top of green zone and both thrusts exactly level to get anything higher then this.
  10. I can understand what you're saying James. But i think Nat is spot on about the 30mph speed limits being there for good reason. I'm the same as her, in that i like to put my foot down and enjoy driving the car as it should be driven when safe to do so, but never speed in a 30. You can be as safe a driver as they come, but you just don't know what other road users or pedestrians are going to do (e.g. kids running out after a ball). I know what you mean about the young chav driver thing though. Don't think anyone wants to be labelled in the same group as them!
  11. Not been to one myself. Don't they show you gruesome pictures of accidents caused by speeding and stuff like that? That's what i've heard. Would of thought that may have an affect on some people, in terms of adjusting their driving habits.
  12. I love the smoked mk4 style ones. Think they give it a nice 'modified' look without straying too far from standard. I wanted to get some of them but couldn't find any at a decent price and when a set of 2nd-hand mk3 black FK's came up i went for them. Still thinking of going for some smoked mk4's though, as think they would look so much better.
  13. Lovin' it mate, what a great project! Hats off to you and if it turns out anything like your bro's then it'll be awsome!
  14. No way!! Can't believe someone would scrap a car like this, such a shame
  15. Good call Ben. I would've gone for that, or black centres / polished lip.
  16. Mate, if you are adamant your documents don't specify the changes, then you should not have to pay for it. If you really want to stand your ground on this one, ask to speak to a manager and if that doesn't resolve it, ask them for the address to make a written complaint to their Customer Relations team. If your issue is still not resolved then, you can write to the FSA, although i doubt it will get that far. Chances are, as soon as you complain to a manager, they will write-off your £10 charge. Hope this helps mate.
  17. Very interesting read Kev. Thanks I knew as soon as i read the 'contenders' in your initial post, that the standard air box would end up winning! Guess it depends what you want from it really. Personally, as i'm running a N/A VR, I've got a BMC-CDA and i absolutely love the sound it gives! Wasn't looking for performance gains, as I know you won't get it. Just wanted to get that noise. Each to their own and all that.
  18. Unfortunately, Craig is right there ^^ This is a scheme designed to keep your custom and makes it very difficult to change insurers The only thing you can do is ask your current insurer to send you confirmation of your NCB as a percentage, rather than number of years. You may be lucky and find another insurer who will take that into account. Or you could try and find another insurer who does this bonus accelerator scheme. And no, you won't be able to get 2 months cover from your current insurer.
