Sometimes changing the cams can make it run a little lumpy on idle, but shouldn't do when you are on the move. Up to you, but personally I wouldn't bother with the expense of a re-map just for cams.
  3. I've got this problem on mine too. Used to be alot tighter, but ever since I had part of the linkage replaced, it feels really sloppy. Keep meaning to get it looked at.

Cams don't necessarily NEED a re-map, although you will get a bit more out of them with one. Are you not feeling more pull higher up the rev range then?
  5. Amazing!! Surely the lorry part was just complete fluke, i assume? That's a great pic mate, well done!
  6. Have you had it on VAGCOM to check for any fault codes? I had a similar issue with it turning over, but intermittantly not starting. It turned out to be an issue with the cam position sensor.
  7. Can't help you myself, unfortunately. But try sending a PM to Tony (tonyvrsc). He'll give you some advice, i'm sure.
  8. Hahaaa!! Quality mate! So are you never tempted by going back to the RWD Jap's?
  9. W-O-W!!!! What an absolute weapon!! You must be buzzin' like crazy right now! Oh and good to see you kept it in the V-class dubs. Knew we wasn't getting rid of you that easily
  10. I like the narrator's techinal diagnosis of the front wheel....."the front wheel is MASHED!" lol
  11. Looking good Nat. The smoked rear lights look great on Mystic blue VR's
  12. Sad times Must be a relief to have got it sold though, especially if you're happy with the price you got.
  13. I run Dubpower 7mm leads and have been spot on for me. Here is a link: http://dubpower.co.uk/HT%20leads.HTM
  14. Can use a screwdriver with a bit of cloth wrapped round it to protect the panel.
  15. Wow, you don't do things in halves, do ya?!! Am lovin' this. Really does look good and the attention to detail is superb. Very well done mate and I look forward to updates!
  16. Sounds like they are a better product when they work. But have any of you ever had to return your TomTom for any reason? It's all well and good if you get one that works (and i'm sure, generally they work fine), but if it does go wrong, then I don't fancy waiting several months for a repair / replacement (which is what I've heard can be the case). Also, is there a particular TomTom model you can recommend, if I was to go for one?
  17. Need to get a Sat-Nav and have been looking for a while now. Want to make sure I get a decent one which does the basics well, so have been trying to do my research by asking in the shops and searching the online reviews, but I seem to be getting so much contradicting information, it's doing my head in!! I can't seem to find one product which has consistently good reviews. They all seem to have one person say it's the dogs danglies, then the next person says it is a waste of space! I have heard that the after sale service / care on TomTom's is shockingly poor, which is kinda putting me off t
  18. There's a German hotel man who quite likes him too
  19. Not been in one yet, so can't comment on the ride or how they drive, but I do love the look.
  20. Very tidy mate. Paint work looks great after the clean. Don't know how you're managing to get that over any speed bumps though??!
