    im sure i read somwere that any sixpot vw box`s are interchangeable just flywheels and clutch will need changing

    worked sat till 5pm then went for a curry and fewwww beers. then sunday got up about 12.30-1.00 went to tesco to get some munch as i have a few smokes in the afternoon and got the munchies but there was nothing to eat. then sat eve watched tv then i think i fell asleep then went to work the next day hummm pretty crap.

    Have you been blind for long??????? i would prefer it if you didnt reply to the post if you have nothing usefull to say a simple yes it has been done would have been better what do you think. if i knew the answer to the question asked would i have asked it. think please before you speak thanks.

    has any body ever seen one of these converted as i dont think i ever have. its prob because there so ugly.

    deck the back more. but ye it looking good i think a set of german plates would set it off as well.

    very common problem that on the mk2 mk3 mk4 A3 TT,etc i nust change moune there in a terrible state from corrosion.

    this all sound like what happened to mine exsactly the same symptoms and i wasted so much money doing what your about to do changed the water pump as i though the impelers could be broken, wasnt that but changed ut any way while it was out then changed the thermostat and still the same also changed the blue temp sensor then changed the expansion bottle cap still he same. then finally done the head gasket then all was good. after doing the head gasket the water started coming out the overflow agian but very slightly so i went to vw got another genuine cap and new bottle then its been perfect. s

    what sort of maintanace and check ups will he charger require. belts, pipes what elsr is there to check.

    cheers rich would that also cause the boot carpet to be wet a well.

    ok went in the boot today the car seems a bit damp and under the spare slightly damp prob from the carpet being damp/wet and the N/S rear light seems to have water in the light itself any ideas why the boot is wet and why the light has wayer in the light unit. cheers pete.
