  3. my favourite hotelier said that they usually only have one period of heavy snow. So If it's there now there's less chance of it affecting us later.
  4. The one piece leather were an option and can now be difficult to find in top order. Have a look though the cars for sale thread as a number of cars are being broken. We've discovered at shows that the boot finish does vary. Any pics?
  5. it won't do anything that cant easily be fixed. If it's an OBD2 then I think I'm right in saying that the TB servo will need resetting. But it does it itself when you turn the ignition on for a while before starting up for the first time. Once the TB servo is set, or on OBD1 engines, make sure all the electrics are off and start the car. Let it idle until the fans kick in. This will teach the ECU the basics it needs. The learning goes on over the next few starts but no further action is needed. As it's an electronic device be wary of touching the contacts as static could harm it.
  6. I'm locking this thread for your own good. Remember the nanny/police state we live in!! DeanTheBuilder start a new thread in the garage section: http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewforum.php?119 if you want help on why your car seems to be down on power / torque.
  7. isnt that us last time, just above the tailgate of the bright yellow porker. Ginge directly facing the camera, me being the girly looking one in black on the left. Nicks VR6 is also there in the middle lane.
  8. The manual says 225kph / 140mph with 15" wheels. somewhere there is a link to a rolling radius calculator which will tell you how far out the speedo will read depending on wheel / tyre size
  9. Hi Tim, AFAIK there are a number of different gearsticks. highlines have a wooden topped one. some have two piece ones: leather(ette) base and seperate top or one piece leather. which to you have? if it's a two piece which part is tatty?
  10. because once it's working why change anything else ;-) I had a similar affair with my 16ver last year. After changing plugs, leads, coil, dizzy cap & rotor my misfire was finally resolved by swapping a £10 relay :@
  11. yep, all seems good in mk2 vr6 world: http://mk2vr6.com/board/index.php
  12. I'm not planing on running the strip and I do have the weight of the worlds economic woes on my shoulders
  13. I'll try not to have sunk too many beers before then.
  14. good man. that'll keep our feet dry and allow those with need to swap onto slicks without the jack sinking. I'll be there fairly early and will have my radio set to channel 6 ;-) From experience I'm assuming the stand will be in the pit lane somehwere. Maybe near the Pod shop. Any news on the new gazebo, or should I start counting the poles for mine?
  15. Nice. Refreshing to see it's not just UK shows that get rained out.
  16. The corner piece at the front* is seperate. Get that off and the long piece should just 'unzip'. *Or is it the back! I'll have to check in the morning unless someone else knows.
  17. I'm not sure they are connected either. But the second issue sounds alternator based. rear demist draws alot of power ~ 30 amps, as much as full beam. You can buy a little gadget whch diagnoses poor alternator / battery performance.
