  3. You can use large water pump pliers on the fronts with no risk of damage! But yes the rears need to be turned back! It's not uncommon for 'em to be siezed mate, this may be why they wouldn't wind!
  4. Have fitted a front APD unit with polly bushes, which has improoved the ride quite a bit, but the rear is the most important part! (on the to do list!)
  5. Remember there is a fair bit of adjustment in the two bolts that hold the hub to the strut. I had this problem!
  6. And don't forget to swap over the ABS rings ; )
  7. I too had pilot's, couldn't fault 'em. Am currently running verderstein ultracs which are absolutely awesome!
  8. Nice VR6 had a coolant leek on his expansion bottle, pretty sure he cured that with just a new cap! Took him a while to find it tho iirc.(the leek that is) I get the same thing tho too gav, can smell the coolant, but can't find a leek!

  11. To answer your second question, I run a 6-1 with a cat by-pass milltek which sounds sweet, not too noisey. The cat has just come back off as my MOT was last week! Not too much difference IMO.
  12. Hell fire G, you wern't kiddin when you said you were sacrificing your socail life sunshine! Good goin mate. Make sure when ya weld it up tho, that ya don't have it jacked up anywhere, sat on all four rimms on the floor, so as not to twist the chassis ; ) And dont forget that on the mk2, the chassis legs are a differnt hieght on both sides.
