  1. Fair play mate - that is really mint!!! I love red mk3's- especially with full leather!! Are those wheels 16"s?
  2. acf8181 Posted: Sun Jan 16 2005, 09:34PM they're standard early-spec vr6 fitment bbs. think they were fitted to all obd1's as standard, they don't go over 288mm brakes so thats why they were dropped i think. I thought the later cars still came with 15" BBS though? Surely 8mm wouldnt require a wheel change?
  3. Agree with you on that one Jay - best to keep it a wolf in sheeps clothing. A nice drop and a set of wheels transforms these cars. You can get front splitter from German swedish or Eurocar parts @ £40- cheap enough And makes the front look much nicer
  4. Yeah, definitely 15"s. Thats the same colour as my old VR. Anyone know the name of the colour- is it indian red?
  5. very nice mate!- love that interior- ive never seen one in that colour before!
  6. messer- leather looks in good nick though! Better get my cam belt changed pronto!
  7. Wasnt aware they ever did a 16V N/A Synchro... I know there was the country, rallye, 8V synchro, and...G60 Limited (lovely!!!) 16V motor mated to a supercharger- 207 BHP standard- very very are
  8. There are kits that place the filter closer to the bumper (I think theyre called Viper ??) Although i dont like the scenario of accidently driving through a deep puddle and lots of water getting sucked up!!!
  9. Lovely mate! Got anymore pictures of the side and back? That is one very rare car!
  10. Sounds cool!! I dont mind it being the end of Feb so Dubloke can attend.... Plus it'll be around payday :)
  11. Yeah ill be up for that. As VDUBGIRL says- name your time and place Saturday/ Sunday would be better as its a bit dark this time of year.
  12. Might be getting one of these cheap.... What do you think guys and girls? Or should i stick with my filter replacement and slightly drilled airbox? Never had one of these but ive seen other threads about the engine producing too much heat and all you get is warm air and less torque..... I know i should be getting a BMC job but need to get others thing sorted before i splash out that much money. (I will probably change my mind after hearing one or two at the rolling road day! )
  13. Go on girl!!! ;-) They are muppets mind you...
  14. Looking very nice Pete- well sorted!
  15. Dont do it! 328is are quick mind (193 BHP standard) and 0-60 7.1 secs. IMO They do look very dated though and when they are modded they mostly look tacky. Couldnt say that about a golf
  16. I had exactly the same situation as you dub_weiser. Im currently with HIC and had a Almera GTI, when i swapped to my VR6 (witha all mods declared) it was exactly the same figure which was cool! When my renewal came in it was £600 (same as before) phones around a bit and one conpany offered it to me for £320 (TPFT) Phoned HIC and they took it down to £280 with DD payments it is the same at 320 quid. It always pays to get quotes from other companies first....
  17. That speaks volumes m8- M3 evo's are really nice cars too- proper drivers cars and very fast. ACF8181 I know what you mean about feeling old- they do look very dated inside compared to the golf which is surprising..... The golf VR6 still manages to look fresh with a nice set of wheels and a subtle drop. Couldnt say that for most japanes cars or fords, vauxhalls etc........
  18. Yeah that car is very nice- the arches and bumpers have been seriously pulled- good job too.
  19. Nice m8- Is that the red one? if so very very nice!!! Whats BlackburnVR6 getting now then?
  20. Get on the case fella- no time to waist RR Day is nigh!
  21. Why not bampson? Thought you owned a VR6 in working order?
  22. Strange one that Jay- My local VAG parts counter told me that they used to sell synta gold fully synthetic and used to use this for all VR6's in service too. However they dont bother stocking it anymore....
