  1. Thats the one Could be Very Adult Genre if its in a porn shop....maybe
  2. I hate the blue rinse brigade- these seem to be attracted to me car especially in car pars- either by reversing without looking in their rear view mirror or pulling out of roundabouts when im blatantly got right of way- to make things worse they then drive at 25mph max..... Also w*nkers on a power trip (usually chavs) in crappy cars trying to overtake from the left hand lane then tryin to force their way in when a truck is in my way. At least ive got that off my chest!
  3. Yeah definately- thanks Pete, if its any good ill be getting one of them!!! Ive got a lot of respect for Dubsport after seeing their twin engined, charged, VR6!!! Lovely machine that...So i would imagine its a pretty good part- Let me know!!!
  4. Cant beat a quickie with mary jane
  5. Never over rev mine from cold- 2.5 - 3 k tops. I live just off the motorway so have to take it easy for the 1st couple of miles but it warms up quickly. Wish i could get up early enough to get it running in the morning. Would love one of those remote start jobbies- that'd be great on cold mornings :-)
  6. Hi all, Just been surfing the net in work as im bored and stumbled across a few bits. Volkswagen dealers do a pretty cool metal VW keyring for £3. Might be getting one of those. And Dubsport sell a quickshift kit for £30!!!! Has anyone fitted one of these to their dub? Id be very tempted at that price as elsewhere i havent seen them under 100 quid... Probably supplied with a hacksaw blade and instructions ebay style:-) Although Dubsport have got a good rep....
  7. Both my VR's made the whining noise when you start it in the morning. Nothing to worry about their. Not so sure about your coolant prob....
  8. Sorry bud i cant find the number I will try to find it tonight though) Even if the cars been serviced elsewhere it shouldve had the 1st 3 years with VW so as not to invalidate its warranty- Ring your local VW dealer and ask for the VW service helpline. Give them your reg when you call and theyll tell you which garage to call. Ringing the garage will also give you further info (it did with me)
  9. I rang up VW helpline as mine had no history but only 3 owners and 65k on the clock- VW confirmed when and where it was servived and also other bits that had been done. If i was you i would ask for some kind of discount if he cant find the service record- even if its a just a few hundred (to put towards tuning it!)
  10. It could be tappets mind you, mine sound a bit shitty occasionally. 65k sounds a bit low low for a work chain- as ACF says though - disclaimer get it checked though as you never know!!
  11. I drove a mates new WRX STI the other week - and it is seriuosly fast- even he admits it ridiculously expensive on fuel.
  12. good point that acf..My friend used his scooby for a recce car on last years WRC before his start, he caned it hard on a full tank of petrol- hes managed a record of 78 miles off one tank!!!!!! And i thought the VR6 was heavy on juice. What about an R34 Skyline GTR....Thats a serious bit of kit. Dont know what youd get for 20k though.....
  13. The mk 4 is a bit of a stodgy handler standard, and is also heavy, even more so with the 4WD gear on board. 0- 60 in mid 6's, 240BHP is higher than most hot hatches. It was also v. expensive next to the civic type r which offers similar performance. However the R32 was the best of the mk4's and looks the nuts! Good handling, decent performance and a lovely interior to boot. EVO car magazine did a test comparision of R32, Focus RS, 147GTA and Civic Type R. The Golf came 1st so its got to be saying something as these guys test some very exotic machinery.....R32 for me out of any of those youve l
  14. Mines a nose downer too- looks like a baja bug from the back
  15. engine bay's a bit minging mind Needs a good clean!
  16. I know they do an automotive engineering degree in Bolton (as i started to do it when i was young) Also do project work with Formula Fords etc... They also do a smilar course in Swansea where they use Pembrey as a test for project cars.... Its a 3-5 year course though- Foundation year, + 3 years BSc Hons and a sandwich year working - the placements are hard to come by though......
  17. Just read your post properly and missed the motorsport bit- DOH! Thats a hard area to get into- but i have no advice -sorry!
  18. Also get your cv sorted and send it to all recruitment agencies, check out www.cwjos.co.uk and www.totaljobs.co.uk. There maybe a 1st line job here soon; the pay aint bad but its a rapidly growing company with good prospects for promotion....
  19. Im currently a Systems Admin for an IT firm in Gloucester. Its really hard to get your foot in the door m8. If youre confident of you skills you would probably get a desktop support role anything from 14-17k Once you get a bit of experience and maybe get yourself a HNC in the nights like i did... Dont believe what the adverts telll you: just getting an MCSE or equivelent will not get you a good job in IT. Weve got 3 MCSE qualified people here with no experience and they couldnt tell their arse from their elbow They are currently logging calls and passing them to second line (as its shift the
