  1. also if you have them flared you will to get the arches blown in again with paint
  2. ive had a run in with one on the motorway and was quite surprised i could keep up all though he was pulling away slightly... and i really had to make perfect shifts... We then both came off the motorway and got to some lights. Both floored it and i managed to gain quite a lot of ground on him...
  3. nice ingham - they look kind of like schmidts
  4. They must have given you a reason? Try Euro carparts - would have thought the handles come with new locks in them.
  5. Nice mate keep it up - looks loads better than when you first had it TT comps are the best OE VAG wheel available imo
  6. Yeah probably going to Bristol Volksfest. Not going to Inters though - going to MIVW instead. Rear plinth is indeed a cult society plinth- they look better than the std one imo but dont fit. Would be easier using a std one and plastic welding over an OE one really - seen this done a few times... The two colours are pretty similar really so no big lairy pinks or yellows!!!
  7. Thanks all for your kind comments Muchos appreciated :-) Shot of the tailgate shows how much work was needed to get the plinth to fit correctly - absolute rubbish... Side repeaters now removed and ABT spoiler now smoothed also - its being sprayed but still not sure if its being fitted yet... aerial removed, bonnet finished, arches finished along with bumpers - still a little work on the drivers side (Lhd)though - Roger from PF has spent a long time pulling the bumpers and plastic welding so the shape matches up with the arch. Bay has been stripped and sprayed and built back up again. next is
  8. here we go.... Was supposed to be picking it up this Saturday.. but the bumpers and front wings have a taken a lot longer than anticipated... theyve been pulled right out to meet the front wings - same with the rear bumper. Side repeaters removed, cult plinth fitted, aerial removed... coming together slowly but surely :-) Pics show car back together - all panels ar finished then taken back off again for spraying. :-)
  9. all new cars have a safety device built in- if it senses pressure before fully closed it goes straight back down....

  13. if you mean the instument cluster.. you need to take it out of the dash to do it. its fairly easy to do - youll need some small torx screwdrivers to take it apart once out. That should help. http://www.s3designs.com/mk3_gauge_instructions.html
  14. i used to have a VR in indian red and i love that colour :-) Cars loooking lovely mate - keep it up :-) Get polishing those TT's chromed too ;-)
  15. thats probably the effects of lowering so much and have non adjustable independant rear suspension- negative camber gets more severe the lower you go. Same happens to the syncro. Hope he has a big dicount on tyres.
