  1. Aye, they've got the 24v V6's that are in our V6 4MOTION's IIRC. I'd have one of those over a 1.8T tbh.
  2. Must be different from the 6 points barrier in your first 2 years of driving then.
  3. Once you get 12 points and lose your license, can you not just re-sit your test straight away to get it back?
  4. Get yourself a good solicitor/lawyer who knows all the laws inside out. I got caught doing 62 in a 30 earlier this year, I was up in court in July and escaped with 4 points, and that was in an area notorious for boy racers, I was told to expect a 6 month ban by the b*stard coppers.
  5. Weren't all US cars 5 stud though? Either way it's disgusting, you can't rice up a Dub.
  6. http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk Got your PM, waiting to hear from my mate who can get me them first, although if your car is OBD1 then you won't have the coilpack and you'll need 7 leads. Also, I'm not sure if Beru part numbers are the same as VW part numbers.

Well I told HIC that I was planning on putting coilovers on in the near future and the guy said that he'd just put them on my policy now.
  8. Found a website selling Eibach coilovers for £590 inc VAT, seems quite reasonable and Eibach are renowned for good quality, but has anyone had any experience of their coilovers or know anyone who's got them and are happy/unhappy with them? They're height and damping adjustable too.

Just took out a policy with HIC 2 minutes ago. 22 years old with 4 years NCB and 4 points and a £300 fine for a SP30, modifications all declared to the value of £1000. £855 fully comp. Happy with that. Tell them you saw their advert on the Matey Matey site, and you're a member of the VR6 Owner's Club, you go to GTi International and get PVW through the post for a hefty discount.
  10. Aye, they pop off with a screwdriver or a thin cutlery knife. If you damage the metal grille, you'd easily be able to pick up a replacement for peanuts anyway.
  11. Better end connectors I think. I'm able to get them dirt cheap from the local dealer but he either needs part numbers or needs to know what car thay came on as standard. Anyone able to help?
  12. I'd have slapped him and his daughter and phoned the police and made him explain themself why he was carelessly driving. I dread to think what I'd do if someone crashed into my pride and joy that I'd worked hard to get.
  13. What did the red ones come on as a standard part? I've got black ones on my Highline but I want the red ones.
  14. I've got FSH and mine ticked over to 88k today.
  15. No, people with Lexus lights on car that isn't a Lexus should be burned and banned from driving a car ever again.

Not sure, he needs to know what cars came with them before he can get me a price, I'll run the idea by him.

    Part Numbers

A friend of mine is able to get me some heavily discounted VAG parts from the local dealer, so would be grateful if one of you nice helpful chaps could help me out. I need part numbers for the following: Red Beru Plug Leads (Also, what did they come on as standard? Driveshaft Oil Seal Coolant Temperature Sender I think that should do it at the moment. Cheers.
  19. What's involved in doing this on an OBD2 engine? Is it best left to someone who knows what they're doing for a complete novice?
  20. I've got the 160 deg thermostat, I don't think I've seen my oil temperature over 92 since I fitted it, and that's only in rush hour traffic, usually sits under 90 even when nailing it.
  21. It's not Perry McCarthy anymore, he was relieved of his duties at the end of the last series as he started telling people it was him. It someone different now, although I'm not sure who exactly.
  22. I can explain it. He's a complete and utter asshat.
  23. You think he'll sell his neon sill covers seperately?
  24. Just got a Neuspeed strut brace delivered today, but I'm not exactly sure how to fit it properly. There's 4 holes to drill I know, although I only got 3 bolts with it for some reason, thanks Volkswizard. I expected there to be nuts as well to tighten up the bolts under the strut in the arches, am I right in thinking that and will have to buy some nuts too? Any tips? Don't want to make an arse of drilling holes in my car. :?
  25. Almost £300 to fit some suspension is bordering on extortion come to think of it.
