  1. Got no experience of the BMC but I've got the RamAir Pro Ram one, the cone is bigger than my head and the noise is even more appealing than the memebers of Girls Aloud (minus the ginger Scouser one obviously) asking you if you want an orgy with them. And it's about £70 cheaper.
  2. Depends on your budget. Best thing would be to get coilovers with Powerflex bushes all round, Eibach anti-roll bars and front upper strut brace. Should make your VR stiffer than the queen's upper lip. Wheels can also play a part too, what size do you have?
  3. You drive a VR6, you've already won the moral victory before the lights turn to green. VTEC - Because rice doesn't boil until 5000rpm.

  5. Well I know that Powerflow don't use TIG welds on their products like most off the shelf manufacturers do, and there's always a danger of corners being cut with custom ones. My friend put his Corrado into our local Powerflow dealer, they cut his downpipe in half and welded the exhaust onto there, and it was one long pipe with no sleeves and as it went over the rear axle, it would be impossible to get it off. They also threw his heatshield in the skip because they couldn't get it to fit with it on. He's been back with it a few times and it's still not right. The Powerflow one I had rusted throu
  6. I'm not too keen on the custom ones, had a bad experience with a Powerflow and I know of a few other people in the same boat who got their's from a different outlet. I like the comfort of knowing that the exhaust I've bought is designed for my car and hs been tailor made to fit my car instead of someone bending some bits of universal pipework to fit. Or maybe i'm just a snob. Got my mind made up on the Supersprint now I think, going down to Star Performance on Sunday for a rolling road day so I'll have a word with the guys down there, they quoted me £299 to supply and fit a Milltek when the ch
  7. Depends which features you're wanting really...
  8. With payday being tomorrow, I'm on the hunt for an exhaust system for my car to compliment the roar from my RamAir. I had planned on getting a Milltek Twin Jet cat back system which my local tuner would supply and fit for £299. However, I've heard some bad reports about the Milltek systems, and have been advised that Supersprint are far better and give a better note. My local tuner also supplies Supersprint although i've not got a quote from them on one of those yet. Anyone had any experiences, good or bad, of either, or even both? Also, I've never had a car with a cat before and i'm not too c
  9. Got the ProRam fitted to my car last night, the filter's bigger than my head, so much so that it sits against the side of the engine. Mounting it was a bit of a hassle as my Clifford alarm box thing is attached to the strut block bit so it's not 100% flush, and the screws for attaching the bracket to the MAF seem a bit crappy, but it seems nice and secure. Oh, almost forgot to mention, it sounds fucking awesome
  10. Hmm, I'm undecided, I need suspension sorted cheap as i'm a bit low on funds, seems a bit strange though as to why they're so cheap and he must be getting them even cheaper before he's making a profit AND paying for them to get shipped over to this country which I imagine wouldn't be cheap. What do you guys think?
  11. hi, sure, as long as unused and original boxed, no problem! you can collect them, is no problem. but calculate about 2 weeks for delivery once payment is received. streetline is manufacturing them as they receive the order. if you want top pick them up, no delivery charge (£20) cheers DesignTuning - BlueTuning UK Limited www.designtuning.co.uk www.bluetuning.co.uk The Ultimate Interior Enhancement! 12. I just e-mailed the guy and he says he's got VR6 fitment ones too for the same price, delivery 10-14 days. I'm quite tempted to get a set as with the money I'm saving on more expensive ones, I can spend on Eibach anti-roll bars and a top mount strut brace. He lives beside me too, so if I can get them from his house and pay cash then I think I'll go for it, not too keen on paying £259+postage through PayPal and waiting 2 weeks for them to arrive. I'll keep you guys updated.
  13. Yes, yes I am, coilovers are the way forward, still unsure which ones to get though, gonna leave it until after the winter anyway, the roads this far north get really bad through the winter months and it'll give me a chance to save up some loot.
  14. Cheers for the kind comments, it's exactly a week now that I was seeing it in the flesh for the first time, it was love at first sight.
  15. If I had a VR6 when I was 18, I'd probably be dead.
  16. Isn't it illegal not to declare all your mods? All mine are declared, pretty much because I'd hate to be paying about a grand for insurance that was never valid in the first place. [ Edited Fri Oct 22 2004, 10:18AM ]
  17. I'm 21 with all mods declared and 4 points for a speeding offence and I got quoted £1000 fully comp with 3 years NCB, but that'll be going up to 4 years at the start of January when my policy is up for renewal so hopefully it'll be coming down a big chunk.
  18. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=9889&item=2496155968&rd=1 Not sure if it's just for one or all 4, but there's 2 seperate auctions for the same itel, both sitting at £4.99 and there's one for BBS valve caps too that look really cool, but always the danger of some pikey half inching them for his 50cc scooter.
  19. Is there anywhere that sells/fabricates shields for VR6 engines with cone filters?
  20. Look in the local paper, etc, and see if you can see any local VR6s up for sale and give one a test drive, I guarantee that'll make your mind up, I just made the same transition at the start of the week, but i've not had the heart to stick my valver up for sale even though i'm not even insured to drive it anymore.
  21. Aye, although I'm not sure why it's got arches at all with it being a Highline, I quite fancy ripping them off and seeing what I've got to play with underneath.
  22. It's saying image disabled? A bit pointless having a forum for pictures of cars if you're not allowed to post pictures.
  23. My digital camera has decided to act like a Citroen and not work so have had to use my mobile to take some low resolution pics, gives you the general idea though and hides the scabby bits on the polished rim and the stone chips on the front, both of which will be getting sorted once winter is long gone.
