    I got the thermostat from Awesome GTi, very happy with it, the fan switch was a 3 pin connector though so didn't fit my car, must just be for early VR's so I don't have one of them.

    For ODB2, remove interior ashtray and to the left of the slot where the ashtray sits, there's a sliding blanking plate. Slide that to the right and there's the port.

    Pull out the ashtray completely. To the left of the gap you've just made, there's a plate that follows the lines of the dashboard. Slide it to the right. Job done.

    I've got 205/40/17 on mine too and they only very rarely scrub at the back under heavy load, and even then, that's only because I've got spacers at the back to get the centre caps to fit flush because I didn't fancy hammering the hell out of the cap that covers the bit that goes into the centre of the wheel. You'll be fine.
