    just wondering if anyone has a pic of a standard exhaust withh slashed tailpipes, which way does the 'slash' run ? ie top to bottom or sideways ? thanks in advance...

[/quote'] bit too far for me to travel really, leeds was only an hour to travel, don't fancy 3-4 hours..although the edition 38 meet is looking like a weekend away!! as for putting it on a stand, i wouldn't embarrass the club and myself by putting it on a stand, not after seeing the cars at leeds....

    not the same but on my mk2 gti i fitted a k&n, and it ran like crap, didn't seem to have any performance gain although i have to admit sounded the b'lox, in the end i put it in the bin.

    it could be the rears...i had the same with mine and had the rears changed and sorted the problem bouncing..... 'tis still soft tho !

    according to ekta they are 226x10 and yes they are solid....unfortunatley may be too late tho'.

    so who was it ? so others can avoid, give us the area they are from if you don't want to name them yet. oh and the strange lump of metal looks like some crude wheel weight, can't imagine what else it could be, as for the vent...maybe to let the tyres down quickly in an emergency

    had a play today and the motor was getting very hot, is this normal ? it looks as though the motor has been off before as the bolts holding it on are mismatched so i'm presuming a previous owner tried to sort this and failed, i have changed the whole unit holding the switch (unrelated problem) and there was no difference, looks like i may have to seek pro advice on this,

    have still got a problem with my sunroof, it will now only go about halfway back, when i first got it it would go up halfway and back but now only back, i think it is probably the motor as i have changed the switch and it's the same, if i wind it with the allen key thing there is no resistance where the motor stops so nothing seems to be jammed, how easy is a motor to change ? simply a case of removing the 2 screws ? so if anyone has had a similar prob advice would be welcome, if anyone has one laid about let me know

    all this talk of private runways leads me to tell you my sister has just moved to a house that does actually have a private runway !! it's on the edge of a small airfield on the outskirts of york, and next time i'm through i will be using the facilities

    well...that'll teach me for not reading properly (just got out of bed from nights) i'm not sure if they are available as rhd but i'm sure they can be converted to rhd, phatvr6 from cgti had them years ago and i'm sure he converted them, something to do with swapping the projectors round inside the lenses
