  1. Problem turned out to be seized rear brake calipers...had em replaced with new discs and pads all round, plus new handbrake cable, brake fluid. Nationwide Ripoffcentre charged me
  2. Nice one, do you want to buy an Indian Red VR6 by any chance?
  3. Indian Red - yes, the colour nobody wants.
  4. Thanks antera, I agree. Lets face it, whatever it is its going to cost me
  5. Major disaster this morning...I put my foot on the brake pedal and guess what. Nothing happened! As you can imagine I shit myself. Luckily there was a just a small bite from the brakes when I smashed the brake pedal to the floor. Also the handbrake cable was loose (has been for a few days)....I'm hoping I can get it to a garage tonight...any ideas what it could be fellas? The brake fluid is still above the min mark
  6. Use tyretraders.com to buy your tyres - its got free delivery - im positive you wont find cheaper. Just got 2 Avon ZV3's from there - a seriously good tyre
  7. [blockquote] Midland VW is in Cannock which is not too far..... [/blockquote] Thanks for bringing these guys to my attention, I didnt know about them. Maybe a little too far for me though mate, especially with a moaning wife and 2 kids in toe...Considering the amount of dubbers in the Black Country there is a gap in the market for a good VW garage... [blockquote]no ,
  8. [blockquote]How come you didnt take it to a near by VW specialist? [/blockquote] There are none by me...(West Bromwich)
  9. So when they said the had repaired the 'middle and rear sections' this actually included the catalyst box? Euro car parts are quoting
  10. What kind of price + labour would I be looking at including the replacement of the belt? Its not an engine removal job is it? Thanks again
  11. Thanks Mighty - so the water pump is causing the noise and the coolant leak? Whats the purpose of the belt?
