  1. Sorry mate i don't know as i haven't tried the training or single player in the S2 demo, i did however briefly race the demo online but bought a license straight away as i used to race S1 about a 6 months ago and enjoyed it then... I got S2 unlocked last night and had a burn, guys i'm telling you this... if you are a speed freak and have the computer hardware and either don't want to take your VR out on the track or just aren't into road racing like me, S2 is awesome alternative, it is now a serious sim for real racers... VR6Rob - you are right, the key to being really quick in LFS is in the
  2. If any of you are are into race sims, LFS S2 has just been released This sim has been in development for 'kin ages and is the dogz bollox Car physics were excellent in S1 and now the 3 programmer team have improved it even more so for S2 and have also introduced damage and tyre wear There's a free multiplayer demo and a full race license is only
  3. I rekon castration is the answer, that'll soon put em off! Anyhow, im getting paranoid about my dub now cos i came out the other morning to go to work and the bonnet was up so im thinking they were either looking to see if i had a charger or something to pinch or they were gonna try and disconnect my immobiliser and away they go... fortunately i havent started modding under the bonnet yet but am well paranoid now... I now always fit a steering wheel disk lock all the time, a pain in the arse but i figure my pride and joy will be safe! Sorry to hear about yours just2zang, i 'kin hate car thieve
  4. Depends what you are looking at mate but the majority of stuff will fit...
  5. I very much doubt it mate, the diameter of the pipe will be narrower...
  6. I thought supersprint pipes were stainless steel?
  7. Hi meek, In a nutshell as there are loads of previous strings about forced induction in the forum, what ive learned over the last year is pretty much this... Stage 1 super charger will take a stock VR6 to 250Bhp (no internal engine mods necessary) Stage 1 turbo charger will take your car to 300+ Bhp (upgrade internal engine parts or you will damage your lump) Super chargers are smooth and progressive, you already have a turbod Renault so need say more... The decision is really yours as to which route you want to go down, id rather go the turbo route if i had the time and money but super chargi
  8. Sorry to hear you just bought the car and it has a problem mate, unfortunately as you can read from previous comments there's definitely something wrong... The VR6 really comes into its own at 80 upwards. The motor is incredibly smooth and gives relentless power all the way up to speeds well above 3 figures and it never splutters or wants to backfire... I hope you get it sorted out soon and it's not too pricey, i'm sure you'll have a much more enjoyable ride once it is sorted the VR grin will return good luck mate!
  9. Thanks for your comments guys, appreciated...
  10. Will a VR6 fit in a MK4 without any complications? Cheers, Dave.

  12. I'll do a proper photo sesh when i've given it the full cleaning treatment and post in the members section, this was this morning just after i got the camber and tracking setup. You're right about it looking lower than 35mm, my mate who does all the work to the car said it may settle slightly lower than stated by gmax, hope so
  13. I agree mate, i'd like it to be another 20mm lower but i had to compromise as i do a load of motorway miles... it's more comfortable than it was before but totally different to drive now it's on 17", i had the shocks and springs in last weekend and was driving it on the standard 15" for a couple of days, that's the setup for handling for sure, the 17s just make me wanna cruise 8)
  14. Sorry about the wait, finally got it all setup this morning...
  15. I had gmax shocks and springs fitted to mine last weekend... i chose this setup as i do a lot of motorway miles and comfort was a big factor in my choice, i've gotta say that if you are looking for a ride that's low and comfortable this setup is spot on. It's more comfortable than standard shocks and springs and gmax have cut out the kinda 'wallowing' you get mid corner on the standard setup. They are soft like standard but yet they are hard as you like when you want / need them to be (when compressed i spose), i'd recommend them to anyone and am well chuffed with the decision, my new whee
  16. The kit cost £236.89 inc VAT & delivery from Direct Car Parts and gives a 35mm drop, the real bargain were the tyres that i got for £62.95 each that's inc VAT & delivery aswell. Think you can get the gmax kit a bit cheaper like 10 squid cheaper but i was well chuffed about the tyres, think they've gone up now, but that's from Wheelbase Direct if anybody's searching for some new rubber. i'll get some pictures up when it's all fitted
  17. Check it out... http://www.countdooku.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/vr6/wheelsgmax.jpg Had proxes 205/40/17 fitted to my rims and went for a full gmax setup... It's taken me a year to decide what to go for, hope it all turns out good :@
  18. Well i've had no luck at all in finding these strips apart from one breaker who had one of the six sections i need, i've made about 15 calls + 5 emails and nutthin', nobody's got them ~ apart from the main stealer and i could spend £180 so much better else where... One guy even said that he won't take them off anymore as he's tried and they just bend? If anybody comes across them, or you fancy selling me yours please PM me! [ Edited Wed Apr 06 2005, 03:13PM ]
