    I'm suprised you had the balls to post it in a VW forum but am also pleased you did, it has made me smile and probably many others... When you do get a vr you'll never turn back, my mate wants to trade in his rover turdbo after working on mine, his rover is a mental car mind, he's tweaked it right up to i think about 260, all good but it feels like it'll break at any moment and that's the frightening part, apart from it being a rover

    Not my cuppa tea fella but i can kinda see where you're going with the front end tho, what's the mesh on the bonnet venting or is it purely cosmetic? A mate of mine has got one as well, it is a quick car, have you got a vr too mate?

    thanks very much guys, much appreciated, im gutted it's happened right now on the 22nd but am well pleased that it wasn't anything worse, sh*t myself when i parked up and there was what looked like smoke slowly coming out of the bonnet! it's only lost about a pint of water so im thinking i might be quite lucky, thanks again

    Gutted for you mate and i know all about those dents, mine was hit in a car park and left an almost identical dent in the door, it will push out but it'll never be as straight as it was, i've just had a new door as i couldn't bear the imperfection...

    Been thinking about that too mate but i wanna keep it legal... Can someone clear this cat issue up, is a cat bypass illegal to use on the road or is it you just can't get an MOT without a cat cos of emissions?

    Anybody ever removed the 'suitcase' from the exhaust system and just run a straight pipe from the cat to the back box? Is it still legal?

    Hello mate, i don't know what it's for but you could always call a VW main dealer if you're in a hurry to find out, alternatively wait until later as i think some of the guys have access to the parts database and they might look it up for you...
