  1. Can you hear the motor working? If you can probaly the plastic thats broken there is a 2p fix for this. Try doing a search as it has been covered before. If you have no luck with the search let us know and i will try and dig it out for you.
  2. I would have thought so. Get the fitting right then take it all apart and have it repainted. A favour, try and keep this thread updated with pictures if possible of the fitting highs and lows.
  3. Let us know how you get on with it. Wouldn't mind one me self if it was a straight bolt on fit.
  4. I've been thinking about this for my next upgarde. But has anyone had a looked at the BFI mounts.
  5. I think its the cult society one your after. Meant to be terrible but fit. But once you've jigged about with them, they do look good. Try here. http://www.cult-society.com/frameset.asp?site=eclub
  6. Have you a look at the what induction kit sticky above. I've had the BMC as well as the Pro Ram air. When i read about the filtration side of it, it sort of put me off. Because as they can let more air in, they can also let more dirt in easier. Which in return can probably cause premature engine ware, I don't thing it would make much difference on the road for performance, but they do sound nice if you like that sort of things. But for me i much prefer the note of the exhaust burble, and standard air filter so that i can hear the engine note. And know that I'm protecting the engine to the
  7. I think VR6Pete was running around 220bhp with just upgrading the internals and shrick manifold. So i would expect somewhere around there I guess it also depends on who's doing the work.
  8. Did this today, just adjusted the standard hinges as they are desigend to be adjusted. Door shuts smoothly with a nice clunk like they should be. Well happy with it.
  9. Stick my name down, always a good laugh and not to fat to travel for me for a change.
  10. Has anyone replaced there door hinges, my front have been sagging for some time. And i thinks about time i sort them out. Seen the guide for using the shims, but can't find anything similar that might do the job. So I'm going to price up some new hinges, spray them at home and hopefully try and fit them over the weekend. Just wanted to know if there is anything i need to watch out for.
  11. Elite car care not bad, you get a 10% discount for edition38 members. And its free delivery for orders over £60.
  12. Called GSF, but they are out of stock and they are not in stock, and not sure when they will be. Is it just but is the GSF website a pain to use, as not very use friendly.
  13. Not being funny, but did you get the brown sensor from VW for £10? and have you fitted it or tried it. If not i would go with whats being offered above and change the sensor on the rad first, and see what happens. At the end of the day if the brown sensor dosen't work its not a lot of money to lose to get the fans working properly.
  14. What about these not bad for the price, but i bet they can be a bit of pain to keep clean. http://www.rimstyle.com/products/detail/?category=wheel_tyre_packages;type=lenso_bsx_ss;manufacturer=lenso;model=574;id=LEBSXSS1675755BLA252512960 But for the poll, it would have to be the Comps for me. I want to try something else myself, but not sure what to get. D90's, Borbet A's, etc...
  15. Of course you will be wellcomed, as this club is about the cars as well as the members. And its always nice other VW's. Get some pics when you get it.
  16. Thanks Ben for that, i'll give them a call again.
  17. I rang GSF in Bradford, before i bought the standard one they said don't do them for the VR6. Going to try ECP ath the weekend as they list them on the website. Other wise the cheapest i've seen are on Ebay. Not in no rush so might have a look at UD if can be botherd going on the Sunday.
  18. Yeah mine gurgles away at times, seems to be more apparent when its cold. Wouldn't worry about it? I know i'm not. LOL
  19. Not sure about cost. But all you would need to do, remove the cap off the expansion tank when the engine is cold. Unplug the wire from the sensor, and then there is a metal spring clip holding it in place. Remove that an the sensor should pull out. Make sure you also get the rubber O ring if it hasn't come out with old sensor. This might help
  20. Have a look at the wires in the door jam, it might have broken wires in there which might be shorting
  21. There are 3 sensor on the T-stat housing for the fans. Can't remember which one it is off hand.
  22. Okay, Anyone know how much roughly and where from?
