  1. Cool thanks. Fitted a new hub and not sure if the sensor is anygood(light was on before because wheel bearing collapesed and took the wheel with it)
  2. P.S. What I was trying to find out is if the ABS light would go out if the problem has been fixed, or does it need to be reset? Would you know?
  3. Thanks, thats what I was looking for, a UK dealer. Again, problem for me is I didn't know what you just said, I.E, stuck with the same version, problems getting it to work ect. It's hard to get this info from the 'outside' I appreciate your help, Thanks
  4. Yeah, what I was thinking. They do say about cheap cables here; http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/download/archives.html Do you know where else I can get software?
  5. HI guys I got a chaep VAGCOM cable off ebay a while ago and only just round to trying it. The CD with the cable says that it is KKL+CAN BUS USB CABLE. I have tried loads of the downloads from Ross tech, but everyone i try just says interface not found? Can anyone help? Im running Visa on my laptop, and its a OBD2 1996 VR. Thanks in advance Pat
  6. Worn bushes,Wishbones?
  7. Yeah, I know your right, its just that time of year where every £ is precious!
  8. I know, but its meant to be a new bearing, and its just hassel as I need to get a garage to fit it, as I dont have a Press!
  9. Sorry to ask such a beginner question, but i just got a new hub after the old's ones bearing fell apart and damaged the old one. Im not sure if this new one needs a new bearing as well? the part in the picture pushes by hand into the main hub carrier. Is that correct, or should it need to pushed in with a press? Also, there is a bit of damage on the face where someone has smacked it with a hammer? Cheers
  10. Yeah, the socket should do it, try it with a windy gun if you have one to try and zap it off quick. Or, could you weld anything (large nut) onto it, to undo that? I doubt you could get a weld in there though?
  11. Some people say hammer and old socket onto the LWN, that will only work if its a solid nut though, not one of the ones that the outside spins on. Hope that helps/ makes sence!
  12. Thanks, wasn't saying you were. Just souned like you were saying it was just the engine. I new brakes were diff, but not sure about hubs/shafts. Seems i got the awnser now, cheers all!
