Had the wheels back a while a go now, just got round to taking some pictures. Not sure of them myself, but my kids think they look wicked and they do look different. Need to get some spacers now to space them out a little. So what do you all think?
Standard dials with needles painted in flouroescent paint. Got the idea from the Corrado VR6's. Nice and easy to do, and hardley cost anything to do, as i bought the paint did my needles and sold the rest of the paint as you don't need a lot.
I'm having my 15" Solitudes powder coated, because i found some where cheapish. But i can't decide what colour to have them done. They can't match close enough to the OEM finish, so I want to try another colour altogether. Don't want to have them done Black, Anthracite, White etc, and don't want any thing daft like Pink, Blue etc. So what colour do you think i should have done, they are only winter wheels but i still want them to be out of the norm and bit of fun.
I'm thinking of fitting an oil catch tank, I understand there isn't any real benefit with N/A VR. But will there be any downsides if fitted one regardless. And also a lot of the catch tanks i have seen seem to have two inlets to them. I think one is for a pipe from the crankcase to the catch tank. But what are you supposed to do to the other inlet on the catch tank. Do you just block this off or do you fit another pipe to vent off somewhere?
Chemical guys 50/50, Nattys Blue, Pinicale signiture is the wax i'm using at the momment. But it all depends on my mood at the time. LOL Good luck with it all and let us know how you get on with it all with pictures.
If you want good protection with a nice deep wet looking gloss, i would leave the nattys blue and just buy the colinite 476 or 845, Depending on how you like to apply the wax. I use the 845 for cold winter months, and apply it with a PC as I can whizz around it no time. There is a bit of deal here if you buy it with the MF cloths and applicator pads. http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/index.php?manufacturers_id=26&osCsid=c8ed5e1a42abf78757962bf74e5588ec And this is how i would go about it. Wash Clay Wash Megs DC1 AG SRP Megs DC2 (If your feeling up to it, should give it more depth) as it very
Have you goy some products already? Let us know what you already have and what you are considering to buy and much you want to spend. So that we can advise better. You don't have to go buy new products all the time, you could make do with what you already have. Just using it in the right combination.
I've used this on my car, and it does leave a nice dark finish. Smells of bubble gum. Depends what sort of finish you want on the dragon green. Clarity, wetness, darkness etc etc
I wouldn't bother with them for the MK3, I had Hid's on before and they were fine with the standard loom. I think that loom on ebay is a decent upgrade for the Corrado's and MK2 Golf's. Save your money and put it towards the new steering wheel.
