  1. was only mixed up for about a minute, then changed it over and got a burnt finger in the process! But did wana start. Starter motor is on its way out too so that might be adding to the problem. But was at it for fifteen minutes trying every 3 minutes to start her. Bugger
  2. Haven't started the VR for a few weeks and the battery has died :? . Got in today and thought better give her a charge. Was in a bit of a hurry putting the wires on and wog the negative and positive leads mixed up (it was dark I tell ya!!) and the battery never charged sufficient for the VR to start. Have I caused any damage coz its doing my head in. Can't believe I've been such a twat.
  3. I've always had Remus on my dubs, not too deep, and can't fault the quality.
  4. Sorry to hear that m8
  5. Sorry to hear that m8
  6. There's a big diff in finish between the silver and blue MK3. whereas its not too suttle its not in your face either. Wouldn't say its fast or furious, that would be a west wings kit.
  7. Two of my fav cars right now. As I've aged I've lost interest in bodykits and prefer the more suttle styling. The MK3 bar the bonnet scoop is just amazing love the look of wide arches and the finish of the car all round Hate standard Polo's but what a change a nice set of rims flared arches and good drop make!!
  8. 16 in ET43. True they are too nice for winter wheels but can't have the Toplines running during winter.
  9. These are in Nottingham, not having travelled there before didn't no where I got caught out. You would only notice them as you know they are there. Look just like road traffic camera's. What a bitch!!
  10. Dam considering these instead of the Toplines or maybe a winter wheel.
  11. Dam thats very very impressive!! I want I want!!
  12. Also what happens if you get busted by a SPEC camera as I did twice!! If your traveling out of your home town you don't know what is where. Im an observative driver and never miss a camera, but you won't visably see a SPEC as you do a gatso. SPECS are a fooking drivers nightmare!!
  13. Sh1t that was quick! How nuch it set you back?
  14. Spent £1300 on wheels and suspension, and roughly £700 on maintenance sine April this year. Got leather outer my other MKIII plus purchase price. Slow but steady.
  15. I've got one of my MarkIII's lowered 60mm on 205/40/17 with no rubbing and no arch work all round. Wheels are 17x7.5. Hope that helps
  16. Yaash Motorsport and Style Dymanix both do arch rolling. Yaash will charge £30/arch and Style Dynamix £40/arch. Cant guarantee cracking in paint but if you have arch covers you can get away with it.
  17. Am going to spray some side skirts. As the body shop is (i) taking the piss (three weeks and they still hadn't sprayed them!) (ii) don't trust them so I fought I'd do it myself. Anyone had experience with Halfords primer or should I get proper plastic primer? Cheers
  18. 5/100 ET43 is what you get on the stadard BBS alloys and aftermarket wheels tend to be 5/100 ET35
  19. Nah gotta admit I'm a big fan of them (will get one soon hopefully). Most cars these days have grown in various ways and it is the 5th mark so you have to expect changes. Going back to the post its alot of money but not alot of car for it. Would much rather spend that on a R32 and have a bit of change to play about with.
  20. Got a 60mm apex kit on my other MKIII 1.6 and its got great handling and not bad ride either. Comes in at a good price too
  21. Yeah look nice smoothed up here and there and dropped on a nice set of rims
