    Pete's right, I'd say its more the hot air being the problem. I fitted the bmc and noticed a definate improvement directly after fitting, backed up by the improved RR figures. When I first fitted it I didn't fit a jubilee clip to hold the cold air feed onto the end of the filter canister and it soon slipped off, not only did the sound it produced change, but also the performance faltered, not alot granted because the air was still being forced up the cold air feed to the filter, but hotter air was being sucked in because there was a gap.     What a cracking day, really sunny, great atmosphere, friendly people....what more could you ask for. Thanks to Jay for organising this, I had a great time and am well and truly burnt all over now, need to sleep now though after a 6 and a half hout journey home taking in nearly every service station en route, and a few round abouts a couple of times

    Thats pretty much what I thought Matt, they store a nice amount of power so I can see there is a possibilty of this being discharged somewhere unwanted if you aren't carefull, but then alot of electrical appliances are the same. I just brushed off what the bloke said, my mate at work has got one and i'd say even if you are only half electrically minded fitting one wouldn't be that much of a problem. I think the bloke was just a muppet

    Any one had any dealings with these, I was talking to someone recently who said they were really dangerous things that had a tendancy to set your car on fire if not treated with respect. This info was told to him as he was talking to people about install at shows who suggested that a seperated battery for power supply was a better route to take than a power cap. Any one else heard of these scare stories about them?

    I've had a couple of cliffords now, I find them to be quite tempramental and need to be taken back and little problems fixed quite often. I recently spoke with an alarm fitter whilst at John Austins and he said Cliffords were terrible. Next time I buy one I think I'll get a toad.

    I was with admiral when I got the VR and they were fine, when I lowered it they wouldn't insure me. Just tried Elephant and they wopn't insure me because its lowered more than 5cm.
