  1. agree with the above tbh, any decent vr6 will keep pace no probs with an r32 once over around 30mph! a charged vr would blitz one into next week!
  2. the schrick vgi is not about bhp increase so on that basis its a reasonably expensive item for the paltry 10bhp increase(approx) over standard! what it does give is bag loads more torque lower down the rev range in a more usable position! i gained 40lbs more torque 1700 revs lower using the vgi. it now develops over 200lbs of torque @ 3675rpm, rather than the 5399rpm it used to produce peak torque! much more usable on the road and, imo, a worthwhile purchase for me!
  3. http://www.customcoachtrimming.co.uk/ chris does a fantastic job too, give him a ring with your requirements, he does custom bra's too but stock as well!
  4. get in touch with strictly dubs dude! they normally have loadsa stuff in stock and if not i'm sure they can source a decent unit for ya! in london too!
  5. porn star and love guru for the stars, 550k+, lots of cars, beverly hills mansion with 3 pools, run a uk vr just because size really does matter! gives the corvette boys what for, and helps me keep a low profile while in the uk on visits!
  6. get some pics of the road, if its still in the same state, which is doubtfull, and you may be able to get some compensation from the council if it wasnt suitably lit or displayed as a hazard!
  7. a big thanks to those that gave me some valuable points there, despite my slightly dodgy paint in places! pics dont really do justice to justins car as usual, but a big thanks to antera for some good pics there! loved the cab btw, gonna be bling next year.
  8. kewl,as i'll be leaving reasonably early too as i have a daughter to pick up and a few things to sort out before the supermarkets shut!

    Fuckers

see if u can get the trim off the inside of the door and pop most of it back out. metal has a memory so will return to ,more or less, where it used to be if not left to long. it may not look as bad then. take the door trim off too or that will be scrap as well, too bent to stay on the door when clipped on! some right wankers out there aren't there!
  10. looks like there's some competition for the rat category now then, i'm only bringing one bottle of champagne you know and i'm winning that! lol
  11. and the other;, no, it wont pass an mot without a cat! and the bottom end loss is not a prob for those that have a vgi fitted, eh steve?
  12. looking good now chief, you just need to sell me those common old rh cups and my work here is done!

    NOT HAPPY

what colour is the smoke now? did you have the head crack tested while it was off the car?
  14. only kuz u have the ability to play with all who convoy now that mark and pete have sold on. lol! just you wait, i'll even detour next year to kick your ass, on the road at least!

    Gear Gaitor

i have a snappy gaitors one on mine, about 30 tokens it cost me i belive! no doubting the quality tho!
  16. i'll enter mine in standard if thats okay, unless there's a "rat" category there!
  17. depending on the clearance probs on the caliper itself, it is possible to "shave" a bit from the offending calipers using a dremmel or angle grinder, whichever falls to ahnd! it makes no difference to the caliper anyway if taken in small doses, and is usually only aq thin sliver needed to save those expensive wheels from catching! i'd avoid all spacers that aren't hub adapters for pcd unless hub centric, and then only if completely needed, as spacers of anything above 10mm put undue stresses on the front wheel bearings, and in extreme cases, ball joints too!
  18. tho i doubt it has that much effect on the rollers. but i know what u mean! get a diff and reduced final drive in your 02a's and see the difference in ability on the road! takes some biting of the bullet, but it brings the smile back ten fold! well done claire, at least something positive has come out of this year for you so far!
  19. justin is rather "anal" when it comes to blinging up his motor! i learnt nearly all i know from him. apart from the "anal" bit of course! AHEM!!
  20. have to agree with justin and say the autoglym glass polish is the best i've used too. easy to apply on a damp microfibre, then polished off. dont use to much, as justin is correct and it can be quite dusty if you leave it on while doing the rest!
  21. you can still get the covers from swg motorsport advertised as rear diffuser. its grp but can be colour coded and fits directly in the centre on the lower plastic on the bumper!
  22. you only paint the outer edge of the reflector not the curved inner parts, otherwise your bulbs will emit no light at night! you can place them in an oven and check at intervals for the lense coming loose, use a large flat device for revoving it, like a proper trim tool. or, you can use a hot air gun with the same effect and is more direct heat to where its neeed as opposed to heating the whole headlight!

    rear style

you might find that the rims have been laquered thats why polish doesnt work. change them for stainless outers for the ultimate finish!
  24. i would love to see a mk1 2x2wd vr kick an rs6 tbh! i think the comparisons are a mile wide when given the performance of the audi in every situation apart from a standing start drag. a car that has been built from factory to deliver verses a car that has been built to sprint. just look at the old dubsport mk3 twin vr turbo verses the r32 bi-turbo at inters. heavy true 4wd turbo car(single engine) verses the lighter mk3 twin engined vr turbo! nowt in it!! on a track the stig would beat a home brew in a factory car imo. in that comparison anyway!
