  1. i'll see if i can dig mine out!
  2. er no, its actually under the splitter. and its smaller than an actual spark plug as its actually a fag lighter!
  3. this was mine on the top of my drive before i put the coilovers on and its around 15mm lower now!
  4. nice one kev, was it a custom map that vince used or based on the dastek? still to get my stage two charger on and have had all sorts of advice and do's and dont's that it makes the whole thing a bit of a minefeild when putting it all together yourself! i wont be going down the obd2 route as i also have the schrick vgi, so it' would be an expensive route given it can produce as much power on obd1 management, but i understand the benefits of the later electronics! any advice you can pass over chief?
  5. it shouldnt rub on the bumpers imo as the wheel actually moves upwards and forwards under suspension travel, more likely it will catch the front lower part of the arch just above where it joins the sills!
  6. nice big bucket of very hot water and a little car wash, chuck them all in and leave while you remove standard ones, then hey presto, they fit themselves.
  7. check out e38 and the popular forums. couple of nice tasty examples out there currently for sale chief!
  8. is that to remove all the waste gases away from your oratory orifice steve, or are we still talking about the cars, lol!
  9. plenty being broken on e38 and ebay of late. why not try strictly dubs too dude, they might just have one or can prob get one anyway!
  10. later spec cl's came without them but the gti's still had the full trim kit!
  11. bummer, at least the guy might still have them off you tho!
  12. its an original factory option made by votex! no longer available i might add!
  13. warren, i have a set of 16" oz's you can borrow for a couple of weeks. plenty of tread if you want them!
  14. nowt wrong with mine, works fine, passes the mot, looks quite nice almost out of sight on the scuttle! go for it!
  15. bmw 0-62 = 7.1s, top speed = 146, power to weight = 127.7bhp/tonne vr6 0-60 = 7.1s, top speed = 137, power to weight = 150.6bhp/tonne so tho the bmw has a faster top speed as standard, it would be to close to call off the line. we all know that most vr's will do well over the 140 mark, and i do believe the power to weight would have a definate advantage over the bmw! my friend at work has the z4 roadster, and with its bigger engine and more power standard, i have no probs keeping up with him at all at speeds not usually done on a&b roads.
  16. i wouldnt trust halfrauds to mix up their prices let alone paint for my car! the prices from the stealer arent that bad and not much more than one mixed up by someone else! providing you prep it well and get a good base primer coat down, there's plenty in one can from vw to finish your grill, spesh as you'll be laquering it anyway!
  17. problem is, blaupunkt ergonomics and general look of them is a bit pants when compared to many other makes of aftermarket radio/cd ! alpines have one of the best sound reproduction in the audio spectrum, unless you really want audiophile sound and go for summat like a nakamichi! there are a lot of flashing head units out there with no other benefits, but alpines are not one of them!
  18. not mk4 parts no, unless u cut and shut the lot to fit! mk3.5 cabrio is the easiest, if not the cheapest, route if u want it to look and fit right with minimum hassle!
  19. your mk4 bumper wont fit a mk3 unless you cut and shut it! mk3.5 parts are totally unique to the mk3 shell and the only mk4 bits you can direct fit are the headlights!
