    8mpg on track and using optimax makes the fuel gauge the fastest needle on track!!

    I had some nipper say his Escort Turbo done 160mph and challenged me to a race down the A3, I said if you want a race bring your car to a track day and we'll see. He said I don't do corners!!

    I experienced brake fade at Bedford Autodromenearly nearly taking out a porsche As they say you've got to scare yourself once a day !lol

    Check your plugs and your HT leads, if your running Magnecor leads you'll need to remove the metal casing on the plug. If you've got a schrick manifold its easy otherwise its a bit tricky.

    Why worry about a boost gauge, its the last thing to look at when driving at speed?

    It will fail the mot having a cat bypass, as your car is charged I strongly recommend a cat bypass due increase in hydrocarbons which will damage the cat. All I tell the mot tester's: The car hasn't a cat on so I've put the cat in the passenger seat to change for the car to pass the mot. They usual say bugger that I'll get my hands dirty and stick the probe up another cars exhaust. 10 quid cash always sorts it!!

    Looking at the graphs I'd agree with minty and anorak that its fueling. Have you changed the injectors recently, standard ones will be ok upto 270 bhp any more and bigger injectors are needed to deal with the top end. What chip are you using for the sc? If in doubt book it in to Stealth and Vince will work some majic

    Driving at those speeds is dangerous however if someone is killed, ask your self this question; Could you tell their parents that your actions resulted in their son/daughters death?

    3 litre will require boring & pistons, as fair as I know you can still use the original con rods. If your going down this route I'd recommend putting a new set in. JE Pistons are a good place to start.
