  1. The VR6 is the most expensive engine to modify but the results and sound are awesome
  2. The rear spoilers are bolted on not bonded, I would have a rear window going spare but they break when taking them out.
  3. For a reliable 250 bhp a supercharger it is, 300+ then the bottom end would need to be uprated for reliability.
  4. I'd get fully adjustable koni's as this will sort the handling out first then add mods for power (Schrick manifold, gas flowed head, Cams) Its no good having power if you can't use it.
  5. For instant bolt on power a supercharger is the way to go........
  6. HIC had no probs with a roll cage/plastic windows as they only charged 25 for admin fees. A trailer is the best option, if you have a detour on track you'll always have transport home !lol
  7. The track day looks good value at 7 sessions for 125 quid !lol
  8. jezmoz if you buy it back and its Cat C or D write off then the value is peanuts and unless you want to loss money then I wouldn't go down that road. I reckon buy it back sell all the bits and then buy another VR. P.S. If its manual I'm after a few bits

    Auto VR6??

I have an auto gearbox and I've already blown one box as putting to much power through and reckon the second box won't last forever. 130 mph is the max in 3rd !lol If I had the choice I'd buy a manual but if you keep the engine standard then an auto isan't a problem. How much are they asking for the VR?
  10. As mightyvr6 said its smooth if set up properly but if you've got a heavy foot don't expect over 20mpg :|
  11. The chassis legs were pushed right in and was too expensive to repair so I sold it for scrap.
  12. 4 bar fuel regulator is a must for s/c but as power has increased I need bigger injectors to deal with it now.........
  13. Found these pictures while having a clear out in my documents!! The Honda Type R was even worse
  14. Devilfish, there's a way to drive an auto box to achieve 34 mpg, either the maf is knacked or Vince is building fuel economy engines
  15. I'm managing 34mpg with my charrger but thats keeping the revs under 3k, getting power down is ok as well but I'm running an auto box so can't comment for manual.
  16. 250bhp is alright for a standard VR engine but there's always a few other mods that have to be done, pushing the power to 270/280 8)
  17. I've got a ZR2 charger and its been 100% reliable but as I use the VR for track a standard engine can't take hard punishment and I've just the enngine rebuilt with a lower compression ratio, APR bolts, baffled sump in order to take it. I've nearly finished the running in and once engine has been checked by Vince it will be fully stripped, roll caged and a trip to Spa Fran'champs is on
  18. 1) I saw a woman wearing a sweatshirt with 'Guess' on it. I said, Thyroid problem? 2) When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bike. Then I realized that The Lord doesn't work that way, so I stole one and asked him to forgive me. 3) I've often wanted to drown my troubles, but I can't get my wife to go swimming. 4) I was doing some decorating, so I got out my step-ladder. I don't get on with my real ladder. 5) Well I was bullied at school, called all kinds of different names. But one day I turned to my bullies and said - 'Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will neve
  19. The Rabbi and the Tax inspector At the end of the tax year , the Tax Office sent an inspector to audit the books of a synagogue. While he was checking the books he turned to the Rabbi and said, "I notice you buy a lot of candles. What do you do with the candle drippings?" "Good question," noted the Rabbi. "We save them up and send them back to the candle makers, and every now and then they send us a free box of candles." "Oh," replied the inspector, somewhat disappointed that his unusual question had a practical answer. But on he went, in his obnoxious way: "What about all these matzo purchase
  20. Mine sailed through the MOT apart from the de-cat pipe which they tested the exhaust fumes from another car
  21. Prestwold Hall is really an air field, so Goodwood wins any day. Goodwood = commitment = fast!!
  22. The aquamist is staying
  23. I've just had my VR totally rebuilt and the compression ratio has been lowered which will allow more boost, the vortech charger would be the answer. I haven't fully decided to sell yet but this would be the first place to advertise.
