  1. It has bigger injectors and been re-mapped Uni-chip, I know what your saying about lower compression ratios. A lower ratio means you can put more boost through, higher ratio a little less. A standard engine with mods and a charger doesn't last for ever (approx 1yr) but my VR is on track and used harder than most on the road thus life span reduced. The engine now has been built to take track driving. Vince at Stealth was surprised that it made over 300bhp after bigger injectors/another re-map/6 branch were done as the engine was producing around the 280 mark which is about right.
  2. It was never the plan to get over 300bhp but it did, no bull either!!
  3. Supersprint any time any day........
  4. You can achieve over 300bhp with a ZR2 charger with standard pulley with the right mods.
  5. Rally Design are the best priced for samco hoses with fast delivery as well, top company.
  6. On the eve of our next match....... It is just before England v Brazil at the next World Cup Quarter Final game. Ronaldinho goes into the Brazilian changing room to find all his team mates looking a bit glum. "What's up?" he asks. "Well, we're having trouble getting motivated for this game. We know it's important but it's only England. They're shite and we can't be bothered". Ronaldinho looks at them and says "Well, I reckon I can beat these by myself, you lads go down the pub." So Ronaldinho goes out to play England by himself and the rest of the Brazilian team go off for a few jars. After a
  7. VR takes just under a litre with spare for top ups and bleeding. If your using your car everyday and don't track it then the standrad VW Dot 4 is fine, otherwise Castrol SRF 35+vat is the dogs nuts. I have some genuine Dot 4 for sale if interested?
  8. Its been at Stealth, I'll be ringing Vince tomorrow as when they test drove it everything was hunky dory but get the car down south and the problems return. There must be something in the Southam air!!
  9. Been running a sc VR for a while now but everytime it hits 4500 - 5000rpm the car holds back and won't go any further, if you come of the accelerator then back on it revs a bit higher, once its past 5500rpm its fine all the way to 6500. Just replaced coilpack/leads, fuel pump its been re-maped but still the same thing. Its a 2.9, gas flowed head, cams, manifold, sc & aquamist running with an autobox. I think its a electrical issue but any views would be great..

  11. You missed the word "My" from the topic title.... I'd agree with "My" but the dealers and Audi UK are still useless :-(
  12. I've had my Audi just over a year and its broken down 7 times and every month or so it doesn't start. Audi have connected there computer to it and nothing!! If you turn the engine over for a minute or more it eventually goes, all I'm told is monitor the situation as they know its electrical issue but they don't know where it is. The car went in for a service & the ash tray was broken & they say its my fault, dealers are hard work & words can't describe Audi UK. I know one thing the car will be sold before the warranty runs & I'll be buying Japanese. P.S. Its a 2.0 TDI DSG
  13. Induction kit & exhaust are first things most people do, re-mapping and auto isan't a problem. You can put 250bhp through an auto box & should be reliable. If you want to get the best bhp per pound then a supercharger is the way to go, it all depends how far you want to go.
  14. Sounds alot of work to re-shell, the best idea is to sell the car to me!! Just PM, cash waiting
  15. If all is well should be there end of July as at Spa so if the car is still in one piece the ring is only across the border! My thoughts exactly 8)
  16. If you just have a charger i.e. ZR2 or Vortech S2 then you'll be alright, personally 250bhp is all you need anymore power is hard to get down on the tarmac. If you plan to do more then except further work may be needed to the engine but not in all cases, anything over 300bhp and the bottom end needs to be built to take it for reliability. P.S. Don't forget to up-rate the brakes, something most people don't bother with....
  17. Great site Pete, hopefully all my questions will answered!
  18. I'm interested in anyone on here that can translate the stuff! PM or email simon@sisdesign.co.uk Thanks Simon
  19. What's all these staights about !dodge A VR won't beat a GTIR on a strip but would have fun on track and a modded VR will leave a GTIR 8)
  20. Recommend Castrol SRF, wet bp above 600 C
  21. Count me in but does depend on dates, anything after 10th or 11th July 2006 would be excellent.
  22. Its all sorted so were off to Snetterton this Saturday for some fun!!
