    Jules, I think the window wiper motor may have an ignition switched postive feed on it as well as the stalk controlled electrical signal.

    I only use BP Ultima in all my VW's and in the VR I have noticed a marked downfall in smoothness and efficiency when I have been forced to run it on normal fuel.

    To be honest Mina I should imagine you have enough trouble getting that beast to gain traction and handle well at it is! I've found any lower than 30/40mm, actually makes the car drive and handle like a bag of shite on my Koni adjustables, although they do look awesome when lowered 60mm+ . So depends on what you really want from your VR? though with well over 300BHP I think you may have already made that choice, lol

    Cheers Mina , cheques in the post! Will be much better once I've got it ready for Inters! My personal favourite is the black one that 1990 posted up all smoothed with a Vento front end on! Running wide 16" Keskins I believe.....Or a black one I saw in VW scene a few years ago runing my rims with lots of subtle smoothing, and full cream leather electric recaro's Edited to add pics.     Its an 8mm Spline for those that were curious, lol!

    Anyone know off hand what size and what type of tool I'll need to undo the 6 bolts on each driveshaft to gearbox coupling. I'm guessing its a 6mm Torx's or Spline, but not sure which of the 2? Anyone know? Thanks in advance, Simon.

    Yeh thats the oil temp. on the MFA display, mine goes between 95-105, depending on how hard I'm driving it! The gauge one is the water temp. So I've been led to believe.....

    LOL, as if you need to ask John, help yourself to any you see of mine on the RR events day, and there's a couple of mine and Vinces in my gallery on here, although Vince has new wheels now!

    LOL, if thats the theory too, what ever PSI your tyres are at may also come into question and how hard it was strapped down, ie. compressing the tyre! I think you are right though Justin as no 2 cars are exactly the same so many variables, but they all add up! I think the main one being the temp. of the day, as when i spoke to Vince thats we he put it all own too! There was a massive article about all this and what effects the rollers, in The Golf a few years back, but it was far too boring too read, and basically they all counted, but you'd have to have them all in the right combination to cr

    I use the Semi synthetic oil, same as VW use, in mine, but buy it a lot cheaper from German and Swedish! I run mine on BP Ultima, as it recommends you use 98 RON fuel. Cruising I get about 30-35 mpg, round town 20-30 depending on temp, as auto choke on etc..... Although don't really keep an eye on it, as I didn't buy a VR for good MPG figures, lol!

    You may want to look at making it handle better too, as the standard set-up is pants! Nice suspension kit will help you keep all that power on the road in the twisty bits!

    LOL, no way mate! Its been like that for about the last 3 years and never been asked! Maybe thats why as its been about for so long people have just got used to it! LOL! It would be nice but don't think its really feature material, and besides from what I've heard you have to do a lot of ass kissing to get in the Golf or PVW of late! I'd rather just let the car speak for itself than have to do that!

    Yeh, when I spoke to Vince about my figures being a little bit better then last time, he said the reason most where coming out so high, was due to the temp being so cold, and the VR's respond so well to lots of cold air! (As do most engines, unlike my toes by the end of the day!) Sure enough when I got home and checked my last set of readings from the rollers at Stealth it was 28 degrees where as it was only 8 degrees yesterday!

    MMm they look nice, look forward to the pics of them fitted. Are they anniversary stlye ones with the black surround? Who are they made by? Have chipped one of my Mk4 stlye ones so was thinking of some angel ones to replace them with.
