  1. I have mine set 1/2 way both front and rear, quite firm ride, but mine is lower than 30mm, so could be a combination of both.
  2. I know people in the past on here have had problems with leads lasting for very long, other than VW and Magnecor ones. I personally run the VW ones, and have found them more than reliable and capable, as long as you use the Snap-on lead removal tool.
  3. Where are you based Glyn, have chipped one of my Mk4 ones. So may be interested.
  4. Black, Silver or Mulberry!
  5. Found the Goodyears to be a good all rounder, but have 215/40/17 Toyo T1-s's now and notice a lot more grip from them, the only compramise is they don't last as long! Drove both Mine and Mangolds, almost identical cars, at Santa Pod last year, only difference being the tyres. Mangold= Goodyear's Six Appeals + Toyo's Both agreed the Toyo's had lots more accelerating grip, needless to say when Mangold ordered his new rims, he also ordered the Toyo's.
  6. I tried some 9x16 Brocks on my car as was planning a bit of a change a little while ago, but they wouldn't clear my front calipers, so make sure you can try b4 you buy!
  7. Sorry guys still at work now! Will have to put one of it on here 2morrow ( [ Edited Tue Apr 13 2004, 03:33AM ]
  8. I think you mean Pinking? ie. caused by poor fueling/timing ( too low a Ron value etc...) It may just be the noise of the fuel injectors though mate?
  9. LOL, no worries. should be on later tonight, at work at the mo. so can't log on to it.
  10. Well if you want to hear one, feel free to add me to MSN, have loads of vid clips of mine with one on. Or come over and say Hi on Wednesday more than happy to let you have a look at the Ram Air fittted and let you hear it.
  11. Will put one up this afternnon if i get a chance.
  12. I have a Ram Air on mine, as do a few other peeps on here, Great sound and good value for money! Have tried it with shielding and piping and found bugger all difference made, apart from making it all quieter! Hence why I now have the brand new Stroeve on for sale on the classifieds!
  13. When I first got my 17" x 8" ET35 I was advised to go for 215's and I said no as wanted the stretched look of 205's so thats what i ordered! Didn't realise it was going to cost me in the long run, as its not a show car, its used EVERDAY and abused regularly on the track and strip! I've got 215/40/17's on mine now. I did originally have 205/40/17's on them first of all, looked cool, nice and stretched, but it drove like a piece of crap ,and you never knew if the tyre was going to pop of the rim during hard cornering as they were so stretched. The 205's gave me no rim protection what so ever and
  14. Rudedubber which H & R's di you go for? How much where they and where did you order them from? Seriously tempted by them as my Koni's are just too damn hard for a daily driver!
  15. But you have to admit that VR's look much better on the deck, not practical, but they do look good!
  16. LMAO! Its a worry that there actually people out there like this working on cars!
  17. Grrrrrr [/quote'] If your coming to No-Rice I'm sure a couple of us could help you fit the Ram-Air! I have one on mine great noise and very easy to fit. Brackets not the best but easily modified with a welder, and then it attaches to a handy thread attached to the inner wheel arch.

27, Mech/Elec. Engineer for a large Chocolate/confectionery company! Been in to Dubs for about 8 years, had my VR getting on for nearly 5 years. Had lots of other stuff in the mean time too, but love the VR too much to let it go.
  20. She's got a fully loaded 1.4 16v one, all the optional extras, so basically a GTI without the engine. Tried to convince her to go for the GTI, but then I thought I couldn't let her near anything with BBS splits on it!
  21. LOL, ssssshhhhh Dubloke your ruining all my future sales pitches!
