  1. You should run your air-con at LEAST once a month for a good 1/2 hour just to give the compressor etc.... a little bit of loading to keep everything all in check.
  2. Wilko from No-Rice has MK4 leather in his Red Mk3 VR, as does Phils Silver VR on ClubGTI forum, he has some pics of it on the memebers section. Both look very nice. But the R32 one HAS to be the way to go.
  3. To be honest mate I can't remember I bought it about 4 years ago! I think it was TSR near Bristol, via Mail order? Seems to ring a bell!
  4. Yep sold it last week at No-Rice meet, was a nice little filter and kit, although ony used it for a day or 2 whilst I cleaned the Ram Air. I preferred the Ram Air, for noise and looks.
  5. LOL, is it me or does this question get asked once a week now? If you look through the posts on here its been answered a few times, lol! I take it its because of all the people fitting MK4 or Audi rims?
  6. LOL, Well Vince at Stealth has always been good for me to buy bits and bobs from, thats where my zorst amongst other things, came from.
  7. Had Spax on the car originally, and they were filling jaringly hard!
  8. Full Supersprint with polished Stainless Rear box and letterbox tailpipe. Not too noisey/boomey compared to others I've seen/heard ie. you can use it daily and on the motorway without deafening yourself, but makes the right noise when you really boot it!
  9. Cheers guys looks like I'll be going for the FK Konigsports then I think, although I wondered if anyone had tried the H&R's or the KW's as thats what they all seem to run on the continent. I have the Koni/Eibach set up on it at the moment, but just want to get it lower! [ Edited Sun Apr 18 2004, 02:40PM ]
  10. The time has come for me to have some coilovers as fed up running it at the same height/hardness etc...... all the time! And want it low for Inters. Who's running what and how much did you pay (Where from) and most importantly what do you think of them? I'm debating going the full hog and getting some Koni Coilovers, but very interested to hear all your opinions. Thanks in advance guys, hopefully be nice and low for Inters. Simon.
  11. A lot will depend on the ET of the wheels which is vital for stopping rims/tyres rubbing. I currently run 8"x17" ET 35 with 215/40/17 and had no problems till I lowered it more than 25mm. Now I've gone lower I've had to have the rears rolled/pulled.
  12. Greenlight have sorted me out every year with all my Golfs Paul, give them a bell! They have never made me pay anymore for mods as long as no Turbo or Supercharger.
  13. Sorry mate, just a bit fed up of all the OBD1/OBD2 debate. Back to the topic, I really wanted a Corrado Storm, because of the 2.9, leather spec etc..... but then heard about the later Golfs having almost similar power without the associated Corrado expense, both initially to buy and to maintain, and so my head ruled my heart and I bought the Highline 5 years ago. Since I've never looked back and owned/driven 100's of cars in the mean time(inc. 20v Fiat Turbo), but never been able to get rid of the VR. (M3 EVO Conv. had me in a dilemar for a little while, but felt a bit of a pratt with the hoo
  14. In fact just had another read of the charts and all the OBD2's are well up even the standard ones! Mine was putting out well over 185bhp as standard on an original clubVR6 day at TSR years ago, and ALL the OBD1's even the modded ones were well down on the OBD2's, so again I beg to differ. This has happend everytime I go to the Rolling Road the OBD2's usually come out on top, modded or not. I'm not just trying to justify me having an OBD2, just merely fed up with people saying its a myth! At the end of the day I'm going with hard facts from my experiences with Rolling Road days and Races/Track
  15. LOL, no mine are for a Porsche so they are a ridiculous offset, for rear wheel drive cars. So those combined with the spacers/adapters give me an ET35. So you need an et35, 5 x 100PCD, which I believe is what you had ordered? Add me to MSN mate if you need to know more will try and aid you as much as I can.
  16. LOL, There is a legislation for it, but no idea what it is.
  17. Does it matter, get the buggers in there! That'll set your motor off a treat mate! I know MJ Interiors fit MK4 seats in a MK3 so it must be similar?
  18. Go for it mate, thats the same offset as I have with the 8's although mine are a different PCD, as have to use adaptors to get the Porsche stud pattern. Mine did rub slightly before having the arches rolled and pulled a bit, but that was only with 215's not 205's.
  19. Olly, You know I think they'll look damn fine on your motor, just make sure of the offset and stud pattern, b4 shelling out your hard earned!
