  1. yes its worth it - Turns the VR from a nice, but average, car into a beast! If you're talking about a stage 1 kit the only thing you'll need to change (depending on the condition of your engine) is exhaust... you'll benefit from having a bigger bore than standard and losing the cat. Might want to think about engine mounts and a mocal oil cooler as well... Your car looks like an early one so might be worth uprating from the 280mm brakes to the 312mm TT/S3/4motion set up. Cant remember what stage 1 makes? about 270bhp I think but theres lots of people on here with vortech chargers
  2. Theyre stainless steel, you can get them from eurotek I think
  3. how do you know you'll need suspension, wheels and an exhaust? the car might have them already done!
  4. Just read your other thread... am I right in assuming you're looking for wheels for a car you havent bought yet??
  5. Yeah thats lowlifes old one mentioned earlier but on 17s now instead of 16s
  6. They probably will and usually look too big for a mk3, the red one earlier on this thread is on 18" LMs and is about the only mk3 I like on 18s why not splash out a bit and go for these... http://z15.invisionfree.com/Phat_dubs/index.php?showtopic=1947
  7. well if you dont see many that makes them a rarer sight!
  8. that depends on what size wheel!! choose the wheel first
  9. I meant at shows... walk round a show and you'll see more mk3s on RS301s than 17" LMs
  10. it comes down to personal preference... for £1k you can forget RS or LMs for a deep dish what about 16x9 Schmidt modern lines? I paid less than £1k for the OZ futuras brand new in 17x7.5" but came to a bit over by the time Id added the polishing, the wider dishes to make them 9s and the tyres. Another option I was thinking when I got the futuras was TH lines but again they'll take you over the £1k mark
  11. he is indeed... http://z15.invisionfree.com/Phat_dubs/index.php?showtopic=1715

  13. yeah I changed the wheels last winter... I liked the futuras but I missed the comps a bit hence why I bought another set

  17. Etka is windows only so I cant run it on my mac so this is excellent news
  18. In the picture of the vortech charger the maf is after the charger not before and if yours is the second picture then it's an OBD1 not an OBD2! I had a ZR2 charger on an OBD2 car and had the maf after the charger but if yours is set up with the maf before and is running ok then there's no reason to change it... Ive been told they run better with it before the charger but my car had aircon and space was very limited so I didnt bother
