I've just installed a vibe CBR10 (the newer ones) 10" thingy. for the sort of music i listen to, (metal/rock) it sounds pretty good. not had a sub in any of my past cars for over 2 years now. yummy! who thought that dillinger could sound soo ace with a sub

    I think thinking about re-coding the ECU is a bit extreme at this point. more than likely it's going to be a broken wire, as they arn't made of much, dont forget the ecu will store the error in memory until the car is driven for a short time. so just replace the duff sensor and see how u get on. for the sakes of £30 from GFS.

    ANThighline : get in contact with the MIB, basically it's a fund that you can claim out of for if ur involved in an accident with uninsured drivers, they wont pay for the damage, but u can play on injury and other bits, I claimed off a muppet who smacked in my old car and did one (he had no insurence) got just under 2 grand...

    After my rack is done on my car, I'm in need of new suspension as mine is on it's way out... What suspension kits would you recommend, im not after a super low ride, i want somet that will improve the handling.... hopfuly i'll be keepin 16" wheels also.. Cheers Pete

    vince did mine, put OE ones in, at abot 158 + VAT later VR, so dont av to worry botu the bias valve..

    isnt that the ambient temp sensor? i thought that ive seen another post with just a wire thats hangin off the car?

    I nearly bought a ECU/Pump from a guy, parts number matched, apart from that model had been superceeded. it was from a 16v, and it did have EDL, odd!

    it's a grey cable, vince found that mine had become disconnected in the fuse box area. thus giving the impression that the pump/ecu is dead. lukily for me, it wasnt. best of luck

    I spoke to Vince about this, you DO need to use the VAG COM or the other VW software to bleed the system dry, you will also need to match the pump to your ECU as well, i beleive this is a once only thing.... so I didnt even think about a 2nd hand one. not sure on this tho, just readin me bently manual.... in the end it wasnt my pump at fault, it was a loose diagnostic cable. once corrected, it showed as a sensor fault.     most of the 2.9's were thrashed, the corrada was intented as more of a "sporty" model of the golf VR6, which i beleive was more of an executive model it's a known fact that the bore wears more on a 2.9, hence that most corrdo's start smokin their bag off and it's all downhill from 100,000 onwards, good luck!

    do you have air con also? ive got problems with mine. the rad fans are not switching to other speeds. it's lookin to my fan control module on my air con side of things..

    I spoke to Vince at Stealth about this last week, I quote "104 degrees isnt bad for a VR6" they run very hot anyway. I may be getting an oil cooler kit, which drops the temp by around 10 - 15 degrees.
