  2. Id check your sensor on your header tank mate. you will be REALLY lucky if it didnt damage anything.
  3. yup. it is, im currently doing them a website!
  4. i had NO symptons that my head gasket was on it's way out, until i had the Co2 test. upon taking my spark plugs out, they were pissed wet through and i managed to stick my finger through the head gasket once it was removed..... I was REALLY lucky imo. the only real way is to do a compression check and a Co2 test. dont take any risks.
  5. hope they used the proper tool as you run the risk of damaging the HT lead if you dont.
  6. its fixed now, it was the tappets causing the ODD noises, and the pinking is between 3 - 4, so between most gear changes I hit that region, thus giving the impression of loss of power. I've had the ignition timing taken back again to give the knock sensors an easier life, however these figures are getting a little high, could anything else be causing it to pink around this area of the rev range?
  7. if its only started happening after you've had ur plugs changed, it's a good place to start. use the spark plug tool to check that they are on the plug correctly.

  10. its not that bad really, can be replaced without removing the head. going to get tappets done at the same time. anything else I should look into replacing ?

  13. i saw that today and thought uh oh! my head gasket has gone again... im gonna get a compression test tomorrow to satisfy my concerns.

  15. well, first of all, its doesnt misfire, splutter. but driving back from blackpool ive noticed that it's pinking under any load. it never used to do this. it also sounds as if there is no oil in the engine, but there is and it just sounds SO rough it's unreal. any ideas?
  16. thing is, u could go out get a nother car and it's head gasket could fail. you just dont know. it's a common thing that the aux pump fails.
