  2. None of my VR's came with an EGR valve!?
  3. Best way to go really, skim as little as you need, no more
  4. Wow, yes looks like 90% of VR6 heads you see today! a little corrosion is normal for these old girls..... I have seen similar repairs with JB weld or equivalent to fill in the void - after all the head gasket will compress it back again. get whole headed dipped and cleaned, repair corrosion, and get skimmed should be job done, alternatively look on our classifieds for other second hand heads in better condition but I can tell you most heads will be like that this day and age
  5. Mk3 windows have a safety mechanism where if it detects something is there it will drop the window again - check runners are clear, sounds like something could be preventing the window from going up fully and causing them to drop again. Cheers Pete
  6. welcome mate.... @VIW28 spings to mind (Gethin) ! He is in NI, along with over 100+ other members. you can use our member map https://www.vr6oc.com/forum/membermap/ to see where folk live over there - and use our wanted section to make a post for any parts you need, plenty of people breaking cars / selling cars on here. Cheers Pete
  7. Looking good! what is left to do now mate?
  8. Just drop bottom radiator hose and let it drain into a pan. Generally its a 60/40 mix of G12 or equivalent (think its something like G13++++ now lol) fill up the coolant bottle slowly, let it run and ensure you have water flowing around - careful as coolant level will drop quickly and will introduce air to the system so ensure you have additional coolant at hand. I believe it takes around 6 liters to fill. Just don't let the water boil over.... alternatively if you are not mechanically minded then take it to your nearest garage for peace of mind, coolant change shouldn'
  9. Thats right bud. You will need jack up to get bottom bolt removed.
  10. You will need jack engine up to remove bottom bolt.

  13. Sounds suspect to have all 4 sensors to flag up and sounds like some wiring fault - perhaps a bad earth or ABS ECU fault. Have you checked basics like voltage from batter is good ? you will be surprised the amount of issues I had where the battery was not in good condition! Pete
  14. Highly recommend Workshop. Only place I take my vr6 for work. He's a master with VR's
  15. That's madness if it's been through water. What's that got to do with anything?
  16. Have you tried contacting mr injector directly ? He may be able to help. Alternatively try giving someone like stealth a call as may know somewhere to go [emoji106]?
  17. Please remember to use the Mark as sold button when items have sold @Rysa@VRT I have done it on your behalf this time...
  18. Please remember to mark classifieds as sold when they have sold @Rysa@VRT from the button at the top of the forum thread.
  19. Did you bleed it with an Eezibleed? Sounds like there is air trapped, it's a bit of a bad design but bled properly should be ok. I also had similar issue where peddle wasn't fully returning and ended up was a small nic in the seal, but if it's new then would suggest to bleed and push out any remaining air
  20. For me, I have the knowledge and tools / space to do this, but I don't have the time. The Stealth Racing kit has been tried and tested, and has given good results on power and reliability - you only have to look at the facebook groups where people have done a DIY job and sounds like a sack of shit or have blown something up within weeks of fitting. The installation, mapping and support from Stealth is second to none and there are many benefits of going down this route.
  21. How's the videos that your mate filmed going mate ?
